Study Shows High Fructose Corn Syrup May Cause Obesity, Diabetes, Heart DiseaseTags: SCIENCE/HEALTH/CLIMATE/NATUREA University of California study on human subjects seems to indicate what food activists have long believed: high fructose corn syrup has special qualities which cause humans to pork up like animals in a feed lot. Oh, and it also may help cause life-threatening chronic diseases. The study was small, but frightening.Webmaster's Commentary: For anyone with any sugar issues (either hypoglycemia or diabetes), one of the kindest things you can do for yourself is get rid of any products containing these products immediately. And start reading labels; this stuff is in a lot of products where you would least expect to find it!Study Shows High Fructose Corn Syrup May Cause Obesity, Diabetes, Heart Disease - The Consumerist

This Common Food Ingredient Is As Addictive as Cocaine?

Saturday, 13 March 2010 09:41

'Dr. Richard Johnson is professor of medicine at the University of Colorado, where he runs the kidney division and is in charge of transplantation and research in blood pressure. He has also written the best book on the market on the dangers of fructose called The Sugar Fix.

About 70 percent of his work involves research and, for a number of years, he has been studying the effects of fructose on the metabolic system in animals and cell culture, as well as in clinical studies.
Most of this research is focused on how fructose might cause obesity, high blood pressure, kidney disease, fatty liver, and other health-related problems.
Here, Dr. Johnson discusses how uric acid in your blood can wreak havoc on your blood pressure, insulin production and even kidney function.'

Why the Fluoridation of Public Water Supplies is Illegal

Wednesday, 02 June 2010 06:21

'Municipalities all across America are currently dripping fluoride chemicals into their public water supply, dosing over a hundred million Americans with a chemical that they claim "prevents cavities." What's interesting here is that this biological effect of "preventing cavities" is a medical claim, according to the FDA. And as such, making this claim instantly and automatically transforms fluoride into a "drug" under currently FDA regulations.
This means that cities and towns all across America are now practicing medicine without a license by dripping liquid medication into the public water supply without the consent of those who are swallowing the medication.'

Mammograms Proven to Cause Breast Cancer

Wednesday, 09 June 2010 06:28

'It's well-established that exposure to ionizing radiation can trigger mutations and other genetic damage and cause normal cells to become malignant. So it seems amazing how mainstream medicine frequently dismisses the idea that medical imaging tests from mammograms to CT scans could play much of a role in causing breast cancer. Take this example from the web site for Cornell University's Program on Breast Cancer and Environmental Risk Factors:
In answer to the question "Is ionizing radiation a cause of breast cancer?", the Cornell experts say "Yes" and note ".. female breast tissue is highly susceptible to radiation effects." But then they pooh-pooh the possible hazard from mammography x-rays saying the risk …"should not be a factor in individual decisions to undergo this procedure. The same is true for most diagnostic x-ray procedures".'

FDA Finally Admits That Drugs for Crohn's Disease and Arthritis May Promote Cancer

Saturday, 19 June 2010 06:47

'The FDA has ordered makers of drugs for a variety of inflammatory diseases to add a "black box warning" about an increased risk of cancer in children and adolescents. A black box warning is the most severe warning that the FDA can place on a product without withdrawing it from the market.
The FDA began analyzing the drugs, known as tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blockers, when reports emerged that dozens of children had developed cancer while taking the drugs. TNF blockers are used to treat inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis. They include adalimumab (marketed as Humira), certolizumab pegol (marketed as Cimzia), etanercept (marketed as Enbrel), golimumab (marketed as Simponi) and infliximab (marketed as Remicade.'

Aspartame's Threat to the Unborn

Tuesday, 13 July 2010 05:40

'New studies show that aspartame may increase the risk of premature births. Research funded by the European Union found a correlation between the amount of diet drink consumed and an early birth among the 60,000 women studied, The Mail on Sunday reported on July 10.
The study also says that drinks containing aspartame and other artificial sweeteners may pose a danger to the unborn child. Some British public health experts are now advising expectant mothers to avoid food and drink containing the chemicals, the report added.'

Is Weed Killer in Drinking Water Dangerous? Govt. Is Letting the Chemical Industry Come Up with the Answer

Tuesday, 27 July 2010 07:57

'Companies with a financial interest in a weed-killer sometimes found in drinking water paid for thousands of studies federal regulators are using to assess the herbicide’s health risks, records of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency show.
Many of these industry-funded studies, which largely support atrazine’s safety, have never been published or subjected to an independent scientific peer review.'

More and more men are exhibiting signs of developing male “breasts,” fatty tissue that develops over the pectoral muscles. They gain weight, lose their libido, even have trouble getting their partners pregnant.
In women, endocrine disruptors cause weight gain and are linked to a wide range of health issues.

Fluoride water 'causes cancer'

Tags:
Fluoride in tap water can cause bone cancer in boys, a disturbing new study indicates, although there is no evidence of a link for girls.
New American research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma - bone cancer - bet-ween the ages of 10 and 19.
The increased cancer risks, identified in a newly available study conducted at the Harvard School of Dental Health, were found at fluoride exposure levels common in both the US and Britain. It was the first examination of the link between exposure to the chemical at the critical period of a child's development and the age of onset of bone cancer.

Webmaster's Commentary:
Parents, this is reason enough to start screaming at the local city councils to stop the practice of fluoridation of your city's water supply immediately.

Report Finds Drug Industry Funded Studies Almost Always Yield Good Results

Sunday, 08 August 2010 06:55

'(NaturalNews) A recent study published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine has revealed that industry-funded clinical trials -- that is, drug trials funded by pharmaceutical companies -- almost always show positive results for the drugs they test. In contrast, only about half of government-funded studies show the same drugs to be safe and effective.'

Bras and Breast Cancer

Tags: SCIENCE/HEALTH/CLIMATE/NATURE
n essence, what Singer and Grismaijer found was that the odds of getting breast cancer dramatically increased with bra-wearing over 12 hours per day.
* Women who wore their bras 24 hours per day had a 3 out of 4 chance of developing breast cancer (in their study, n=2056 for the cancer group and n=2674 for the standard group).
* Women who wore bras more than 12 hour per day but not to bed had a 1 out of 7 risk.
* Women who wore their bras less than 12 hours per day had a 1 out of 152 risk.
* Women who wore bras rarely or never had a 1 out of 168 chance of getting breast cancer. The overall difference between 24 hour wearing and not at all was a 125-fold difference.

Cervical Cancer Jab for Girls aged 12 Can be Given Without Parental Consent

Monday, 30 August 2010 10:53

'Family rights campaigners have called for a change in the law after it was revealed that girls as young as 12 can be given the cervical cancer vaccine without their parents’ consent.
Doctors and nurses have been told they are under no legal obligation to seek the permission of the parent or guardian. The jab is being offered to girls between 12 and 18 as part of a nationwide programme designed to protect them against the sexually transmitted HPV virus, which causes 70 per cent of cervical tumours.'
