Melbourne weather: City records its coldest January in 10 years

Melbourne weather: City records its coldest January in 10 years

because AGW.
Good thing it's only weather.

good on ya Walter... at least you get it; not sure why member Locutus is so perplexed! But really, the guy has resorted to providing city weather updates!
Victoria's capital recorded an average maximum temperature of 25.9 degrees for the month, making it the coldest January since 2004 despite being in line with the long-term average.

"So while we didn't have many warm days [this January], it was actually right on average." The long-term average is 25.9 degrees, based on records dating back to 1856.

Conditions are expected to improve heading into the weekend, however, with the weather bureau forecasting sunny days with tops of 31 degrees on Friday, 33 on Saturday and 35 on Sunday.

Dat der be weather, hey Locutus... just listen to Walter!

18 years of "hiatus". 60% of a "climate dataset of 30 years". Waiting another 10 for warming to kick back in as stated by NASA means 93% of the 30 year data set will be hiatus.

What happened to exponential inputs of carbon equating to a " run away greenhouse effect"?

Sometimes computer models just don't agree with reality. Simple solution is to change reality.

Why did you change my post?

Otherwise the lie would not work.

*altered quote by Walter removed

yes Locutus, you did that... but you also removed my reply! Hardly sporting, hey sport?

very good chance he won't be doing that again, eh waldo.

if ya smell what Locutus is cooking.

oh... are you cooking with gas? But ya, my mistake. Now, I've read you alter quotes in the past... and a CC search shows me that when you've done the exact same thing (several times) you add in "FTFY".

my bad... I didn't add in the member Locutus sanctioned FTFY caveat. If I ever do so again, I'll make sure to follow your lead.

you'd need to qualify which models you're speaking of... you could really do that, right taxi?

If it was climate your whole religion would be a lie.

since you're touting a weather example... yet another one as you appear unable to put forward much of anything else around here... are you wanting another bout of warm/hot record weather temperature examples thrown back at you? Cause, as before, as always, the reason it's called Global Warming... is cause... wait for it... it's GLOBAL and not "Walter's Local Regionalized Weather Warming"!

I don't think exponential means what you think it means.

Looks like the Antarctic will bottom-out next week around 2.5 million square km of sea ice. That's way above average because the water and the air are warmer than usual.

that's the spirit boy.

please sir! You offered concern over my quote change-up. I acknowledged your concern and advised the next time I changed a quote, I would follow your lead and do what you do when you change a quote... that is to say, I will add your covering caveat "FTFY", as you have done many times over. As I said, a CC search shows this is how you handle changing quotes.

but please sir! You've now quoted me... but... you're most selectively quoting me out of context AND you're giving no acknowledgement to my recognition of intending to follow your lead with your "FTFY" usage. Sir, I do believe you have put forward a quote that is somewhat misleading of my intent... and I didn't see you add any kind of notice/caveat to that end. But no worries; this is instructional and offers guidance to all in just how to quote another member out of context.
