I think that it's time that the auditors had a peak at at least one set of those books. CRA would be seizing the records right now if it weren't their own records.

Not only a surplus but taxes cut as well. Now lets keep it that way and use the surplus to pay down debt rather than new spending programs.

Suddenly the surplus is no big deal because "the deficit was no big deal anyway". Especially since True Dope announced he would run deficits as well.
It's all one sick joke. There's no real campaigning anymore. It's all about sound bites and spin from all parties. And the sad thing is there are people on the right and the left who just don't see it. It's like religion. Their ideologists are always all knowing and beyond reproach while the other guy's are heretical sons of jackals whose veins run black with some sort of evil malevolence bent on destroying the country.
