The price of gas for Monday is expected to sit at roughly $1.69 per litre in both Toronto and Ottawa, according to gas price analyst Dan McTeague. The combined federal and provincial taxes account for nearly 55.2 cents per litre at that price.

McTeague said that governments can afford to give drivers a break.

“Since both levels are making a killing with the HST being applied to the 40% hike we’ve seen at the pumps, year over year, those ill-gotten gains would be better in the pockets of struggling Canadians,” McTeague said.
55 cents per L in taxes eh?

How much per KWh on EVs can be expected to balance the books?

Northern Ontario,
Half a tank in my ford ecosport was $50.00
So the drive to T.O. in a couple of days will cost me about $200.00
Good thing I got a good tax refund because of income splitting.
Thank you mister Harper!!!

BC's dippers(party of the people and all that)made ICBC give everyone, including EVs $110 to cover the high cost of gas. EVs got it even though they pay no road use tax because we are an inclusive society.
