It's a provincial election, not a federal election.

HAHA so funny LOL

-- i dont trust PC but neither Liberal seems its always going to go back and forth. Id vote for the green party if it would change something lol
You know I hear ya. It is a sad state of affairs when all we do is question integraty..but the media did do that to the liberals federaly..sorry this thread is back and forth it seems....I really think in this space and time the pc's have the media in their pockets, look at ctv's question period.
The owl, as we refer to him in our house,is always jumping at the bit to trash the liberals, and like do this psuedo investigative reporting on PC anything .
One always comes away with a feeling the liberals are doing something wrong and the pc's what ever blunder wasn't really that bad..

Television is perspective. If your a liberal after watching the owl, you come away dissapointed. If your a pc you come away satisfied that it wasn't that bad with what ever the pc's boo boo'ed ....and on to next week.....
Being a pc comes with the price that you got to walk around with permanent egg on your face, whilst practising the emperor's new clothes 24/7

To be perfectly candid, the list of broken promises by itself is enough to discourage any thinking person from voting...for McGuinty or anyone else for that matter....

In this instance however I have a personal issue that compels me to vote against anyone who is against the McGuinty government.

As a disabled person, with no children living at home...I personally receive $979.00 dollars a month to live on. The McGuinty government...MPPS earning base salaries of near or above $100,000.00 per annum game themselves a 25% raise...while disabled people ...people unable to work amid rising costs for everything from groceries and clothing to housing and hydro...got NOTHING.

McGuinty is a McGovernment....

And should be held in the same disdain and contempt as any fast-food restaurant writing off its advertising costs on the backs of suffering families....

Good posts, DocDred.

The Right Honourable Paul Martin P.C., M.P. (LaSalle—Émard), the 21st Prime Minister of Canada, was indeed an honest man. Unfortunately, the shamefully and incessently-repeated falsehoods put forth by the Conservative Party of Canada dishonestly swayed voters in sufficient numbers to secure a plurality of seats for our present [failing] Government of Canada. I certainly hope that the Liberal Party of Ontario maintains power.

Five paradox

Perhaps you could refresh my memory.... Didn't Paul Martin stand up in the House of Commons and berate Canadian corporations for failing to pay their fair share of taxes...(corporate tax) then behind the scenes reflag the ships of CSL to escape paying taxes?

I could go on, having spent a good deal of time studying Martin and Chretien for years...and am certainly prepared to acknoweledge both of these nabobs as the lying theiving scum they are.

As Prime Minister, Martin ...who also sat on the Treasury Board ...who swore an oath of office that recognized that he like Gagliano and other are ultimately responsible for the administration of Canadian government and finance...when faced with the Adscam..the Sonsorship a'Scandal'...instead of doing the right thing and resigning...spend another hundred million dollars to "investigate" this theft by the Liberal Party of Canada...and was of course exonerated by a judge unable to find sufficient evidence to find Martin guilty....

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but your judgement is highly questionable when it comes to carrying the flag of a party and members of that party that failed Canadians for decades. A government that cost taxpayers millions in penalties for cancelling helicopter procurmenet contracts...a government that did absolutely nothing to address global climate change...a government that was rife with corruption from the $54 million scamed out of the Department of National Defense to who knows how much by the nabogs at HRDC?

If you want to make a case that the conservative government of Stephen Harper is just as corrupt and just as lacking in any sense of responsibility to the Canadian electorate, I could support that contention but to float this nonesense about the Liberals and Paul Martin exposes a glaring propensity to embrace delusion as opposed to fact.

Actually he was refering to Canadian companies operating in Canada. Many Canadians pay taxes in other countries. Many Canadians operate companies in other countries.....erm whats with yer spin?

Hey I got the time,it's news to me:happy1:

[/QUOTE]

Like it would have been responsable to jump ship and leave. Ya the opposition would have loved that even more. What about the pressure to prove his innocence wasn't so great from the PC's and the seperatists. I think that they could not find sufficient evidence to find him guilty says it all

They had their reasons for the helicopters. You don't like their decision thats cool. Kyoto is thought to be a great start by a lot of countries. At the very least we signed unto something that could work. As for corruption charges.....your who knows how much by the nabogs at HRDC shows you don't really know for you haven't read about it....hmmmmmmm

I don't like Harpur but I don't see where corruption has come into play. Bandying about anger isn't really going to help your cause either

The Liberals have promised to spend 17 billion on improving mass transit if they are re-elected. Being a Liberal promise I'm pretty sure what will happen if they are elected again.

Dweeblie McGillicutty has been so bad for this province I can't wait for him to be turfed..

Yes voting PC, John Tory is not the Harris type of Tory but rather the Bill Davis type. Bill Davis ran this province well for years and years, got in over and over with his social justice balanced with fiscal conservative ways.

The liberals have lied there way into power, continue to lie, took a new heathcare tax with no results whatsoever, never stopped a major blockade in Southern Ontario..no not the new one..the one from 16 months ago!!

Taking power of the grid with no alternative..I can go on..I thinks thats enough in itself

Thats the real stupid one right there. We are shutting down coal power plants so we can import more power from states which use coal power plants. So now, instead of replacing with locally produced power (nucular, solar, wind, whatever), we are replacing dirty power with dirty power. And we have no way of controling the emissions of the states we import power from. In the short term, he could have made sure the coal plants were doing the max to ensure they are as clean as possible while exploring other alternatives. He just closed them. So now we are between a rock and a hard place. And he still isn't exploring new alternatives. Hope he enjoyed his 'green' photo-op though. The next effect of this will be more CO2 in the atmosphere, but hey, its a great photo-op.

Tory is now considering extending funding to all religious schools. We should fund no religious schools. Catholics should pay for their own religious education like all other denominations, sects and religions.

Stop all this childish "party" nonsense! No politician in either Canadian or American politics can reasonably be expected to be "honest". It doesn't matter what "party" he/she is a member of, it has to do with money and power...PERIOD.
