Sooner or later people are going to start getting seriously honked about the complete breakdown of gov't services in Canada in the last few years.
This is the "new normal", better get used to it. Oh Canada.

Many federal government employees balking at returning to offices

Public service unions say that while some employees want to return to working in government offices or are happy with a hybrid arrangement, a majority want to keep working from home as Canada experiences a seventh wave of COVID-19.

"We have done studies of our membership that show that 60 per cent of our members would prefer to stay in a work from home situation, 25 per cent would like to do a hybrid and 10 per cent would like to come back to the office full time," said Jennifer Carr, president of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC), which represents about 70,000 workers, including scientists and computer specialists.

Union wants remote work included in collective agreements.

Well that would be just fine if the jobs get done. Nothing wrong with working remotely if it's more productive for them individually. But we still need to take whatever measures need to be done to make sure things are running. At the airports the security for example says they're now not security anymore but are tech support for that stupid app.

This isn't a problem with where the employees work - this is a problem with the structure and organization that's supposed to be sorting this crap out.

For example the gov't was warned that they needed to go to an online system for passports and they did nothing for 2 years - now we're in this mess and still nobody is doing anything

Actually if half the rumours are true you could at least make a fair argument for trudeau back in his heyday :)
