I know of him more than I know him. Could be one of those weird snap shots in time.
I “Think” we are all from Saskatchewan from our younger years…& Cronkite was on CBS…which was one of the cable channels that came along in the 70s…one of the 10 or so channels beyond CBC or CKCK, etc…if your parents could afford it & you lived somewhere that cable was an option, so if you didn’t have cable, or didn’t catch the news on CBS…as a Canadian kid in the 70s in Saskatchewan you could’ve missed him completely.
Admittedly, I know more of him as an adult from YouTube in the last decade than I do from the 70s when he was actually alive.
CTV didn't have foreign correspondents so we had updates on CTV from CBS. Can't remember exactly but I think it was Dan Rather or_____ doing the from the from the front reporting.

Yep, in the end Sadler got capped in Guatemala City whilst sitting in a taxi.
