Trudeau and his bunch still stepped way over bounds with this. I guess if the majority agrees with this, I feel sorry for what is to become of this country.
That's the way many feel to be sure, but there are also many who believe the protesters went way too far, that theirs was an attack on the democratic process. I suppose time will tell what may come of that mess.

My point going forward is, if Mr. Poilievre has 75% support within the CPC, how will those numbers reflect on a national scale ?

On the contrary, the majority of Canadians supported the use of the EA. The occupation was increasingly viewed as the work of far right extremists, and that politicians in general were to blame for letting it get out of hand, the Liberals for not taking firmer measures sooner, and the CPC for encouraging what would ultimately become an illegal occupation.

Two-thirds of Canadians support use of Emergencies Act - National Post
There you go believing the legacy media , personally the only thing I believe from them is the obituaries .

About the same as Scheer and O’Toole , not well .

My thoughts too, and maybe not even as well as either of those two did because he sits a little further out on the political spectrum.
That may play well for him if he sticks to his initial message . Changing in mid stride to please the press is never a winning strategy .

How come we can be completely at odds with each other’s positions yet still have a civil conversation ? Aren’t we supposed to be calling each other assholes and ignorant?
Keep up the good work , you are an interesting poster .

I assume you didn't mean to be posting to yourself in this one? Maybe that is why you find him interesting.

Well, who ever wins the CPC better listen to what is important to Canadians and not to try to win global "admiration" like Trudeau does. He's an incompetent twit and is an embarrassment to Canada and Canadians.

I expect the new Leader to actually Lead with common sense and integrity. Will I get my wish?

Oh good. Easy win for the Liberals.

Not a chance.. Pierre Poilievre will slaughter Trudeau..

You're so fucking stupid Flossy.. the economy is shit, the emergencies act, trucker convoy.. sure there will still be some idiot supporters.. but the middle class, and the working class.. which excludes you.. you're the "give me more government money" class, will be voting conservative..

Pierre Poilievre will also bring people back from the PPC and other fringe parties, like the Maverick Party.. He will unify Conservatives again.

The O'Toole just drove them away.. with his blue pantsuit

Saskatchewan business owner Joseph Bourgault has launched a Conservative leadership bid. Just learned of him in a press release, though apparently he's also the president of a group called Canadians for Truth and was a big supporter of the Freedom Convoy.

Finally, a westerner running. I might even vote in the leadership race now.

That's probably some very wishful thinking. Even if Poilievre had the support of all conservative voters he's still too far to the right to woo anyone over from the left, and with the NDP holding the balance of power the deal is pretty much done before it starts. Most Canadians do not want a baby-Trump making a mess up here like the one south of the line. He still faces some pretty serious opposition from within the CPC, Patrick Brown has bared his claws in a big way already.
