They hold all of the high cards and a big chunk of Canada has zero sovereignty because of it.

It will be interesting to see the transfer payments going west, again.

Yep... Surely you'll be screaming like a scalded cat the entire time.

PS - My E&P company subsidy cheques are waaay late... Send me my cash ASAP

You're a bit if work, aren't you?

You noticed!.... Thank you!

You want us to fail, don't you?

Don't really know where you got that from... Maybe it's the perpetual air of victimhood that you have enshrouded yourself in

PS, it is far, far more complex product than "aluminum siding". Any idiot can rollform siding, anywhere. All you have to do is buy the machine from Germans, who will laugh at you all the way to the bank and buy the coil from someone in Ontario.
Nice try, genius. You must be in need of employment.

Sure, if you say so, it's more complex.

Translation: Needs nails to hang siding.

How come the price of gas is $1.11/ltr, it was that price before the drop in oil prices a year ago.

You really didn't think that the refiners were going to operate as a charity, did you?

Maybe think about contacting the provincial and federal gvts and seeing if they are prepared to cut the taxes they impose per liter... That ought to cut the price in half

No doubt, those guys really clean-up.

On that note, you seen what qualified tradesmen charge for eavestroughing?... I really missed the boat there
$5/foot for a single story home here in Ont. Not sure what it goes up by as they get further from the ground.

It was ridiculous here in YYC when the housing boom was on... At that time, I knew of a commercial building group that was way over quoting when they had any RFQs come in... They couldn't take on the work, so they tried to price themselves way out of the market... They were still getting the contracts despite deliberately trying not to win the deals

Dude, siding installers make more than the guys at extruded plants in Ontario. Poor suckers make chump change, and only need a grade 8 education, lol.

I design extrusions and their assemblies.
I am paid six figures to do so.
It pays a little bit better that being a siding installer.

Dude.

PS, What the hell is an extruded plant?

OMG!!! This is far more complex than I had ever imagined

If that is as far as your professional mind can reach, no wonder your willing to settle where you are.

I once had a dream of becoming a siding manufacturer like you.... I had to settle on playing in the O&G sector.
What siding, I want one of those nailers.

That must suck. It is only $1.00.9 in some places on the island. With my petrocan points it is only $.95.9
I was referencing aviation gas, I don't recall that being a pump choice last time I was on the rock. High compression is still an option here. I find that the more the engine stops the less wear and tear there is on the brakes and those parts aren't cheap anymore.

Siding manufacturer ... Very funny. You could even do that in Alberta if you bought the raw material for the roll former from somewhere else. I know a company in Calgary that makes school lockers. That passes for heavy industry, there. The steel coil that they make them out of comes from Hamilton, most of the time. They make the stuff there from iron ore, limestone and coal. They don't just ship it in from somewhere else.

BTW, Does a bell still go "ding-ding" inside the garage when a customer pulls into your "O&G" facility?

The mfg sector in AB is doing quite well due to the low CAD... Lots of oilfield stuff like top drives, wireline trucks and whatnot being ordered and shipped South (and abroad).

Guess we're a little too busy with that and really there isn't any impetus to get into the siding mfg business.

Nope, not even at the operators shack(s) at the leases

The is a place south of GP that tested high in iron but it wasn't developed because of the lack of NG. A 4ft NOVA line runs right through there now. Add in recycled scrap metals and it might be profitable to mine in this day and age. Melting combines could become a specialty as we go back to threshing machines.

It reads an RIDF signal. I suppose you still use the old bar-code system?

I drive in, put in my cards, put gas in my own tank, then drive out.

Akin to playing with a 'mechanix' set. So even if I believed you were a designer, I highly doubt the following...
I am paid six figures to do so.
...is true.

I work in the architectural construction industry, maybe you could tell me some of the projects you've worked on. I do a lot of work in the Toronto area, and around north America, maybe we've worked on the same projects.

Nope. The guys I know still have you beat, lol.

You knew what I meant, the place you actually work, for little more than minimum wage.
