Iceland’s Amazing Peaceful Revolution – Still Not in the News (backstory) « crazyemailsandbackstories

ICELAND (GP) – No news from Iceland? Why? Last we heard, people were rising up and overthrowing the bankers. Then, no news on the television or newspapers for two years. What happened? Why won’t the papers and TV tell us how the bankers successfully crushed or minimized another rebellion? Because… THEY DIDN’T! This time, the people won. The people of Iceland have overwhelmingly risen up and forced their government puppets of the banks to resign. Primary banks have been nationalized. The debt scam imposed by Great Britain and Holland money printers was declared null and void. A public assembly has been created to rewrite Iceland’s constitution.
The best part is, all of this happened without violence or bloodshed. A whole country’s revolution succeeded against powers that created the current global crisis without a shot being fired. A very good reason exists for the apparent failure of television and newspapers to provide any publicity on this unprecedented event: what would happen if the rest of the EU and the United States took this as an example?
The following is a summary of the facts:

2008 – The main bank of Iceland is nationalized.
The Krona, the currency of Iceland devaluates and the stock market halts. The country is in bankruptcy
2008 – Citizens rise up at Parliament and succeed in forcing the resignation of both the prime minister and the effective government. New elections are held.
Yet, the country remains in a bad economic situation. A Parliament act is passed to pay back 3,500 million Euros to Great Britain and Holland by the people of Iceland monthly during the next 15 years, with 5.5% interest.
2010 – The people of Iceland again take to the streets to demand a referendum. In January of 2010, the President of Iceland denies approval, instead announcing a popular vote on the matter by the people.
In March, a referendum and denial of payment is approved by popular vote of 93%. Meanwhile, government officials initiate an investigation to bring to justice those responsible for the crisis. Many high level executives and bankers are arrested. Interpol dictates an order to force all implicated parties to leave Iceland.

OWS should embargo Chigago for those days, no gathering at all, the pens are empty for the whole time so the whole defense spending was for nothing.

That doesn't mean other cities should not experience it's own peaceful protests. I assume cameras and somebody with quick hands (to pull the mask down) and flood it to the police and then to the net on the fly. Even the cops are going to look at their own sideways to blatant brutality. Think how nervous all those 'inside' will be feeling, did everybody but them get a 'warning'?lol City full the night before the 'official start' and then deserted for the whole scheduled time and then the crowds come back in the morning after the last day. Repeat as often as needed.

"We are the borg.... resistance is Futile" <- I couldn't help it.
You do know that is an energy free bullhorn and truck, .... right? You might want to practice something before taking the 'mike'.

Or you could just take it for what it was. A simple joke based on the fact that people who want to be seen as indaviduals instead of numbers SHOULDN"T be mimicking EVERY word spoken as if they where indeed the boarg.

The fact that people are being brutalized at peaceful protests hasn't slipped past my mind nor has it been erased from the collective minds of those boarg members. This being said, Slipping off in to shadows isn't a way to "protest" The way to protest is to stand up defiantly giving those you are protesting against the finger.

I am sure someone will come up with an argument that "oh they where trying to show others that they are many voices but one thought" but i mean really, how long has it taken them to do anything about their particular protest. American politics and Wall street have been slum sheets for a while, it's only just starting to take a head.

When was the last time anything Spectacular came from a protest movement?
The Anti- war movement of the 1960s?
The women's movement?

If there is enough of them. They will be heard they don't have to just further show people that they are lambs to the slaughter by following someone else with a loud voice.

If protests by the public were not an effective method of bring change I doubt the founding fathers of the US would have included it as a 'right'. They were given further rights if the protests by the many were ignored by the few. I'm quite sure our rights are quite similar. You have to admit they do put a lot of energy (tax $$) to stop protesting by a group of , ..... wait for it, ......... taxpayers (for the ones that still have jobs)

I'm not sure about you but I'm not very comfortable when the ones collecting a pay-check from the tax-payers never listen to the (majority of) taxpayers. Not much can be really done from the bottom except protest and that only become effective when the Army has had enough of firing into them despite all the fake bad press that will be in the propaganda. Not unlike Germany in the 30's, the state and media spread what they want the public to believe when the truth is far different but it never gets fully investigated. The similarities after 9/11 and the Reichstag fire for the citizens should show a similar pattern of programming and civil rights modification.

Ireland bit the bullet and crushed the OWS 'solution', they don't appear to be any better off for it and they are nothing but deeper in debt.

While I am not suggesting that protests should stop, nor am I saying that they are wrong. I was merely point out a fact that perhaps they should really look at their methods of protest before they actually start the protest.

This being said, what do you think will happen if the city of New York (not that it would happen mind you), Had a sit-in, in times square. People just sitting in the middle of the roads flooding every street just for one point.

No one has to say a thing, they just have to sit there until their demands are met. If the Military started to fire upon an COMPLETELY peaceful protest then the government (or at least the military) would have head rolling by the end of it.

Consider this even. People stop investing in stalks, they pull out. What do you think will happen? Do you think they will get their point across?

"There is more then one way to kill a man, and painting the walls with blood is the last one should do." - I don't remember who said there or where i read it, but in this instance i think applies.

My point is simply this. What is the point of screaming they your individuals and not numbers yet your all saying the words someone else put in your mouth? Instead of saying anything you should just sit there and say nothing. It works more times then one would think. Assuming of course that everyone is KNOWING what they are protesting... of course that is a completely different matter.

Oops: Chicago Occupiers Try to Protest Rush Limbaugh‘s ’Office’…but Get City Wrong

A crowd of Occupy protesters in Chicago descended on Rush Limbaugh’s “office” Thursday to air their grievances about the conservative radio host.

The problem? Despite their references to”Rush’s office building“ and ”Rush Limbaugh’s studio,” they weren’t in the right place — not by more than 1,000 miles.

It seems the protesters — banded together by this weekend’s NATO summit — confused Limbaugh’s real “office building” with one of the hundreds of stations that merely air his show. Limbaugh lives in Palm Beach, Fla.

When was the last time the Tea Party changed anything other than their mind? It's like a botched FBI bomb plot where the members just couldn't muster up the energy to 'get started'. Would you call that demeaning that can be refuted? If not then it stands as the truth, pretty or not (as it would be in this case if it turned out to be true)
Like when the 'Gov' sent in undercover goons to start trouble then you know you have a righteous cause or are you going to say the Egyptian OWS protests didn't accomplish what it started out, Now they just need some honest civilians. They would be better off giving some Generals their demands and all the salaries paid to the elected ones. That should make it higher that any of the 5 in the Security Council; could match.

How much does our top 100 brass make?

lol I like the way she so confidently asserts that it's going to be effective. It's "young, it's spontaneous" just like Pelosi and the rest of the old Dem cronies planned and payed for. :)

Foul mouthed occupiers and anarchists marched through the streets of downtown Chicago yesterday afternoon. Of course there were children listening in.
Children like you?

If the 'f' word messes up your calm I can only imagine the indignation you must feel when 'criminal acts' are the topic. That 'your side' probably couldn't do anything so outrageous. Such as this tidbit.

Did The FBI Foil Their Own Terror Plot (Again)?

It is no secret that the FBI repeatedly foils their own terror plots time and time again.
If the governments past history in every similar case is any indicator of the events that occurred in Chicago here is what we can expect to learn in the future:
1) The alleged terror plot was the brainchild of the FBI.
2) The FBI planted an agent within the ranks of the Occupy Protestors.
3) The agent then convinced other activists to go along with the FBI’s terror plot.

In legal terms this is an illegal practice known as entrapment and goes against the very foundations of our Constitution.
But as we have seen since the 9/11 terror attacks the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are now legacy ideas that have been declared obsolete so the government can protect us from the same bogey man they have created.
As we have seen over and over again US courts have ruled that National Security trumps entrapment and has let law enforcement repeatedly target Muslims in such entrapment schemes.
What is disturbing here is that the spying and targeting of Muslims with ties to the Middle east is now shifting to the targeting of the average US citizen who has done nothing more than engage in political discourse as permitted under the Constitution and encourage by our founding fathers.
The police openly admit they ‘infiltrated Occupy Chicago’ weeks before the raid so it is only a matter of time before we learn about entrapment plot.
In this case, they were conducting covert surveillance on 3 Black Bloc who came in from out of state to join the anit-NATO protests.

Number of Tea Partiers who called for the execution of police officers surprisingly stuck at zero.
