Trump has not been convicted of rape.. keep trying..

But no trust either..
Interesting that you thought of Trump when rape came up, anyhow, no I'm not talking about Trump. Of course, and as Petros was kind enough to point out, I am talking about Daryl Brooks who not only ran for office on more than one occasion, but who also claimed, during Rudy's media event in the back of a landscaping business, to be a GOP "poll watcher" in Philadelphia who said he was denied access to view ballots. My point is, these are the people who Trump and his lawyers are parading in front of cameras to say that this election was rigged. So would you take this man at his word? Or would you have concerns with his credibility?

Would you believe a person like Stacy Abrams that the election was fair when she hasn't conceded hers from 2 years ago and still touts that she is the rightful Governor in Georgia?

Right now she is bragging she has over 800,000 thousand absentee votes in her hands for the upcoming Governor run offs in Georgia. Isn't that ballot harvesting?

Unless the more extreme progressives and their cohorts stage some kind of palace coup thereby enabling the passage of their far left agenda, I'm expecting a much less adversarial administration under the Biden/Harris duo. I most certainly won't miss having every news network detailing the latest 'drama' out of the White House. It will be interesting to see who Joe appoints as his new Ambassador to Canada - her/his appointment will signal the direction which the new administrtion means to take in its relations with Canada.
There will be much adversity. Just not with the lefty dominated press. When their dogma and reality clash it will be interesting.
The first question will be how long it will take Biden to start a war. All Democrat presidents have started wars. Trump is one of the few presidents not to have their very own war.

I doubt 'reality' plays much of a part in the far left progressives minds, ts. They do tend to embrace a 'utopian' ideology that has little room for practicalities such as ensuring a viable economy that continues to fund existing social safety nets. Rather they are intent on adding yet more socialist programs to the system without thought or care as to funding. They 'say' they care about the 'marginalized' without realizing that their agenda would adversely affect them.

Biden to wear a walking boot for the next 2 months. Slipped while playing with the dog.

Perfect example of what you will get from the Dems. Anything but the truth as if a 78 yr old is actually playing with the dog. I would have thought that would be Hunters responsibility.

There is something a bit creepy about a man of Biden's age wanting to be doing what he is doing. Janet Yellen same boat. Maybe they are scientologists.

It's a good thing it takes the tough decision away from Biden haha

By making Durham special counsel, AG Barr spares Biden tough choices

Attorney General William Barr has formally named Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham as a "special counsel." If we see the designation as political, rather than legal, we will understand it better. More importantly, we will grasp that the attorney general protected an investigation into Obama/Biden-era misconduct by making it easier for the incoming Biden administration to live with it.

As a legal matter, the special counsel appointment of Durham is weightless. In his Associated Press interview, Barr indicated that he was making the formal designation to give Durham the same regulatory protection that Robert Mueller enjoyed as the special counsel investigating the Trump-Russia "collusion" farce. That protection is more apparent than real.

As a factual matter, Mueller qualified for the protection provided by formal special counsel status because he was "selected from outside the United States government," as the regulations require (specifically, Section 600.3). This requirement is common sense: Assuming adequate basis for a criminal investigation, a special counsel is arguably necessary only when a profound conflict of interest would render it impossible for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to conduct such a probe in the normal course.

This is almost never the case, since if an individual DOJ prosecutor has a conflict (e.g., a former client caught up in an investigation), the DOJ can just assign a non-conflicted prosecutor. But the classic conflict situation warranting a special counsel appointment is when an investigation centers on the president or high administration officials, for then the Justice Department is in the position of investigating its superiors and the administration of which it is a part - that's when you arguably need a lawyer from outside.

Durham, however, is not from outside. He is a top federal prosecutor. He does not meet the "outside the government" qualification. To this point, moreover, his investigation has not presented a conflict situation (i.e., this was not a matter of the Trump administration investigating itself).

Yet, these factual departures from the usual special counsel scenario can be put aside easily. Under another regulation (Section 600.10), the Justice Department's failure to comply with the letter of the special counsel regs is not actionable - no one has a legal right to object. The attorney general has broad discretion to formulate arrangements in the interests of justice that safeguard investigations from political interference.....More

Iran prepares to raise oil exports if sanctions eased: state media

(Reuters) - Iran has instructed its oil ministry to prepare installations for production and sale of crude oil at full capacity within three months, state media said on Sunday, ahead of a possible easing of U.S. sanctions after President-elect Joe Biden takes office.

They quoted President Hassan Rouhani as saying that Iran exported more than two million barrels a day before U.S. President Donald Trump exited the 2015 nuclear deal with six powers in 2018 and reimposed sanctions that have hit Iran’s economy hard by sharply cutting its vital oil exports.

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden, who will take office on Jan. 20, has said that he would return to the pact and would lift sanctions if Tehran returned to "strict compliance with the nuclear deal".

Rouhani said on Sunday that his country was preparing for a speedy increase of its oil production, the official IRNA news agency reported.

"The Oil Ministry will take all the necessary steps to prepare the oil industry’s facilities to produce and sell - proportionate to the available capacity - within the next three months," IRNA quoted Rouhani as saying.

It is estimated that Iran exports less than 300,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd), compared to a peak of 2.8 million bpd in 2018.
