Finally, after the phony claim that Clinton was the first black President, and after the first half-white "black" President, there is a legitimate, believable, honest and pro-American Presidential candidate, whose experience in the REAL world is beyond being a lousy communist organizer, a less than half term state senator and a less than half term US Senator, and the ability to speak more than two words without a teleprompter.

Refreshing, to say the least.

Any time now, we will hear the accusations of 'Uncle Tom' 'House Ni66er' and sell-out.

I think its great that he's running. No sell out at all. Although we'll need to see his long form with a middle name.

I certainly hope that you claim that any black people who vote for him are doing so only for race-related reasons.

I don't think Israel would object to some Palestinians right to return if it included a real peace treaty. A real peace treaty with them would have to be more than a signature on a piece of paper, it would probably also have to include 5-10 years of peace to become permanent. The last you mentioned is because of Hamas and its charter.

Israel stating to be recognized as a Jewish State is unheard of. I cannot think of any other country that has that recognition - Home for this or that - it would then provide a legal basis and provide Israeli's the right to legal measures to protect their Jewish identity as a State.Demographics change for one.

I cannot fault them on that. But they are points to consider.

And it all means diddly squat.

An example is that some state that Obama is not black enough. Not this is a professor at Princeton - Should be fired in my opinion. Clearly has a problem with those that are not black enough for him and Jews. If a Caucasian stated what he did - they would be gonzo.

And that is a problem with some African Americans - are you or are you not Black enough. Just another form of racism -apartheid - next they research your family to find out, My God he had himself a white great Great Grandfather 3 genrations removed.

Just as you YJ - Obama is not white enough. Fuk me.

Rex Murphy: Cornel West’s deep personal grudge against President Obama | Full Comment | National Post

West allows himself such judgments because he sees himself as a gatekeeper of what is black and what is not. In doing so, he plasters his comments with faux-friendly reference to “brother Barack Obama.” Such gestures are hollow. He clearly has a deep, personal grudge against the President. As his statements to Hedges show, it stems from the purest vanity: Having worked for Obama’s election, he finds his phone calls to the President unanswered. He didn’t get extra tickets for Obama’s inauguration. And when he learned that a bellhop at the Washington hotel he was staying at for the event had tickets, the great progressive was mortified.

Imagine: lower class black bellhop has tickets; Princetonian brainiac’s family entourage does not. The pettiness behind West’s diatribe is, nonetheless, the very least of the man’s offences.

Obama, deep Dr. West tells us, “has a certain fear of free black men.” Also, this: “[Obama] feels most comfortable with upper middle-class white and Jewish men who consider themselves very smart, very savvy and very effective in getting what they want.”

What’s “Jewish” doing there?

The emphasis on white is just the mirror of West’s race fixation on black. But why the need to expand to “white and Jewish?” Because “Jewish” is the final brush stroke of what West perceives as his indictment of Obama’s sellout. And because anyone who looks to race as the deep answer to anything is always going to brush up against, or slyly invoke, the “Jewish” stereotype along the way. It is, for such minds, ineluctable.

Democrats are hoping to put their imprint on the 2012 Republican presidential primary with an unlikely weapon: the hug.
Leading Democrats have spent the past few weeks embracing several leading likely GOP candidates and showering them with praise for holding Democrat-favored positions on an array of key issues.
President Obama credits former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney with creating a model for Democrats' health care reform law that includes an individual insurance mandate.
"With a little assist from the former governor of Massachusetts, we said that health care should no longer be a privilege in this country," Obama told supporters at a fundraiser in Boston last week.
Members of the Obama administration have been praising former U.S. Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman for his role as part of their diplomatic team, before he decided to call it quits to possibly run against his former boss.
"Working well with me will be a great asset" in the GOP primary, Obama joked earlier this year.
Huntsman, a former governor of Utah, favors same-sex civil unions and has supported the Democrats' effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through cap-and-trade and stimulus plan to spur economic recovery.
Former President Jimmy Carter, a liberal figure anathema to many Republicans, said Huntsman was "very attractive to me personally."

Obama is attacking or mentioning relevant at the moment. The Republicans have no idea what they are going to do let along what their platform will be yet. Yes the Republicans are divided by evangelicals - tea bagggers - wackos who's time has come. Moderate Republicans are starting to come back to the party now, we shall see who surfaces.

And those sentiments from Democrats are surprisingly sincere. Dems like Romney because of his Massachusetts health care plan, and they like Huntsman for all kinds of reasons (being a great U.S. Ambassador and supporting liberal social positions such as gay rights).

Strategiclly speaking, Dems know that them liking the Republican candidates drives average Republicans crazy.

The Party is in disarray - So far those that have been throwing their hat in or thinking about it have been sucking up to those tea baggers etc - Now the former US Ambassador to China. He threw his hat in - It will be interesting to see what he comes out with.

No idea, but they left the good part.

Of course, I'm sure someone will point out that she, too, is obese.

Are you referring to me, TenPenny?

No, the lady in the picture is NOT obese. Maybe that is the reason 0bama leers at her rear end so lasciviously. After all, what you can't find at home....
