I still tend to think that the polls may be a little wrong. Not just wishful thinking..I'm just saying that I think there are quite a few people who are afraid to say, "No, I'm not voting for the Obama"
Why are they afraid? Because the usual follow up question to the above sentence is, "Why, because he's black?"
Who wants to deal with that? I'd rather have a sit down with the Jehova's Witness people for an hour than be told why a guy with 142 more days experience in Govt work than my trash man has, should be the leader of the free world.
So when an Pollster walks up to someone's front door wearing a huge "Hope For Change" button, most everyday people will just say, "Yeah, yeah, I'll vote for him", rather than be harangued by some koolaid drinker with no job.
At any rate, I don't think it will matter much who wins, nothing will change, and in six months you folks here at CC will hate him as much as you hate Bush for one reason or another...but then by liberal media standards, that will of course make you all racists.
Yeah you're probably right on that.... minus the racist remark. The only time I call someone a racist when referencing Obama is when they oppose him without any reasonable justification except him being black or "Muslim" If someone presents an actual plan or proposal he will act on that they disagree with, by all means.... fill your boots.
But I'm certainly not revolving around Obama for the simple fact that he's Black.... just like how I'm not liking Palin just because she's female...... she's simply a moron that needs no explination other then to listen to her when she opens her mouth.
I doubt either (Obama or McCain) will be able to haul the US out of the mess Bush created and eventually one of them is gonna piss off a lot of people.
You just can't please everybody.....
But my two main reasons why I lean toward Obama moreso then McCain are:
#1 - McCain is part of the same party as the monkey currently in power, has voted and backed the majority of what Bush has done and overall, by his plans and his tactics, seems more of just the same.
#2 - Obama has for the most part, stayed focused on the main issues and spelled out some decent guidlines on how he's going to deal with certain things...... while McCain and Palin seem to run around and around and around the questions and concerns.
Based on those two things alone, that is what sways my judgement.
Sure both could be just as corrupt and bad for the country as the other..... but when it comes to presenting the most competent person for the job, in my opinion, Obama seems to hold his ground a lot better.
That is why I lean towards him being the best for president..... but that doesn't mean I don't think he holds a chance at screwing everything and everybody up.
That's just the chance you gotta make sometimes.
Sorta like how I'm gonna vote NDP, rather then the typical Conservatives or Liberal spin cycle..... the NDP hasn't run the country yet, has usually only been in 3rd place at best..... however in this election, they have had the strongest and most straight forward platform and answers then any of the other parties.....
Do I know what they will actually do if/when they get into power? No.... nobody knows...... but I do know what we've been getting from the same two parties since forever now and what we can expect in the future..... a whole lot of screw overs and the same old garbage.
