How's Ryan and his followers doing with the recovery efforts? He was gathering the rightwing clan to be super heroes.

So you would have 50 duplicate jobs, one for each state, and most doing nothing most of the time? Nothing like driving the cost up. How about using the old corporate mantra of downsizing, rightsizing and centralizing to save money?

You'll need a federal state bailout agency just to account for state bankruptcies if each state has to run a federally-sized agency.

So why bother having 50 states?

I thought the cons want the free market to fix everything. Where are the insurance companies. How come they haven't rebuilt every house? It's been nearly a week, what's taking them so long?

So why bother having 50 states?
Exactly, corporate America would consolidate the whole lot .. that's what well run efficient business does.

Do you have any experience in emergency management?

How long did it take before Bush was lambasted over Katrina?

Really, so corporatioons don't have regional divisions, regional offices, regional profit centers? Iiiii think you better think it out again. :) Why is there still a best buy and a future shop?

Would your state run agencies all report to one federal agency? That's where efficiencies occur.

Why would they?

And Montana would have to prepare for hurricanes?
Because he's using business regional offices as an example, and I pointed out why that ****ogy has no bearing.

Why would they?

And Montana would have to prepare for hurricanes?
Well I guess they would because they run their own relief. Who else would if the feds aren't chipping in?

Montana would have to have their own Hurricane relief fund eh? Please...continue.
I don't see your point, are you saying it's more expensive to have a federal disater relief centre that may or may not have anything to do with a potential Montana hurricane? What type of money is being spent on that at present?

What precisely is the benefit to having states run their own distater relief with no federal assistance?

The feds do chip in when asked.

When a tornado touches down, who do people call initially? The federal government?

Local agencies respond and if resources are overwhelmed they ask for mutual aid from their neighbours, If that is not enough they ask for state/provincial assistance. If the state/province is overwhelmed, they ask for federal assistance. This is what works best. This is the way it should be. The last thing we need is the federal government involving themselves in house fires.

So what is the issue that Romney is complaing about? Another phantom complaint and remedy?
