the judge was more concerned about the possibility he might be deported if he were jailed for more than 6 months. She didn't do anything - he had a hissy fit when he couldn't find his phone.
Wow, three whole months of house arrest for assault and battery, for a repeat offender. Oh, but he might get deported if he gets a tougher sentence so it's better that we have to put up with is shit instead. How fucking progressive.

sadly the libs actually promote this concept amongst criminals. "If you don't vote liberal the CPC will pass all kinds of more strict laws and you'll spend more time in jail".
Well even if you don't mind PR's, i'm sorry but that's NOT a reason not to give someone a proper sentance! Oh - he's a PR so because there's a law that says he might get deported we refuse to enforce this law he's already broken because that would be cruel. FFS- people shouldn't get favoritism just because they're NOT citizens!
Tough choice. Vote Conservative and you'll probably see longer sentences.
Vote Liberal and you might want to go to jail where you can at least get 3 hots and cot with a roof over your head instead of being homeless.
Gotta admit, never seen a homeless person intentionally injure/wound themselves so they can eat shitty hospital food. But lots of them commit small, minor crimes around Thanksgiving or Christmas in the hopes of spending a few days in jail. Although I don't know if that gig still pays off for them nowadays.3 hots and a cot are what hospitals are for. Any pro homeless knows that
It is constant here. My medical friends speak of it often. They generally don't "Injure" themselves in the sense of stabbing themselves in the leg or anything but it's not hard to fake symptoms for something that needs a overnight or three, and that's without just hyping up drug related issues.
No point committing small crimes here - they don't lock people up for that. Hell they don't lock them up for fairly serious crimes any more.

I don't support either but i kind of feel Techumseh might. A lot of leftie types are fine with it. But their support of violence against women was a surprise.
