No Cold Beer in BC Govt Liquor Stores

So, across Canada, province by province, I'd like to find out which provinces have govt owned liquor retail stores that sell cold beer. Sure, you can get cold beer in BC, but at beer and wine retail stores and hotels and you have to pay more. Like a few BC govt liquor stores sell cold beer, but again you pay extra.

I know Alberta has privatised, what about the other provinces.

In most of the world, wherever they sell beer, it's cold, its kind of automatic. Whether its sold by a private liquor store or a supermarket/retail biz.

You can get beer in Ontario from the LCBO (liquor control board of Ontario) or from the Beer Stores (owned by Molson & Labbatts). Not sure I get your whole thing about it being cold though... do you not have a fridge?

I guess maybe its because it costs more to frigerate the alcohol.

The Gov doesn't sell beer in AB. It is sold cold so you can drink it on the drive home. Can't think of any other reason.

I love that about Alberta, when I was working out there I would have a few beers at the bar and take a 12 pack to go. Perfect.

I wasn't implying that I drank the 12 on the drive home. It's just convenient not having to go to multiple places like here in Ontario

In SK cold beer in off sales is the same price as warm beer in govt stores until the govt store closes (8PM) then prices go up at off sales.

Any of the countries we've been to have had both shelf beer and cooler beer and the cooler beer costs more because it takes energy to keep it cold. As most sources of energy cost money, it makes sense that cold beer costs more.

I can buy cold beer at any country grocery store for exactly the same price I would pay for warm beer at the liquor store in 100 Mile House and the local stores also sell wine and hard liquor.

:canada:In that great bastion of work ethic and common sense (Ontario), one can purchase cold beer in a Beer Store and the Liquor Store (LCBO)..............Also from private retailers. We do have'em and the price is the same. And the beer is cold. Private retailers can also sell liquor and wine..

You can also buy WARM beer (room temp.) from any of the above. Just have to ask.
