And the complete disappearance of epidemics of measles, smallpox, polio, diptheria, pertussis, rubella, etc., that used to kill and cripple a lot of children, has nothing to do with the universal vaccination programs that have been in place for the last 50 years or so. And there's no connection between the increasing incidence of such diseases in places where a lot of parents are refusing to have their children vaccinated, and paranoid scare mongers like you. You're dangerously credulous and ill-informed, and can't tell real science from pseudoscience and New Age wankology.

What the debate surrounding vaccines boils down to me, is balancing the risks for your family. Weigh the risks of a vaccine reaction, versus the risks of a disease. How does the fear mongering stack up against what we know of polio? Of mumps? Of rubella? The crippling damage cause by these diseases was widespread. The supposed side effects of vaccines are much more rare. In the end, the fact that my household contains a couple cases of asthma means that the risk of catching the disease outweighs the risks that come with vaccination.

If you have to ask that question you really don't understand what's going on. It's the epidemics that have disappeared, not the germs. The infectious agents are still around, the vaccines just activate our immune systems against them so they can't infect us.
