Those are also forms of tax deferral applicable to a small subset of overall income. Claiming a deduction on a home office can result in capital gains upon disposition of that home.
On that note, those tax breaks are not exclusive to any one income demographic and considering that there is presently a progressive tax rate scale in place, the examples you provided are not tax breaks at all, just slightly (and very slightly) less than the maximum.
