Poor neocons. They never get cool rock stars supporting their cause. I wonder why that is...

Judging by the lyrics to 2112, I'm guessing libertarian Neil Peart votes Conservatvie. Actually a lot of them probably do, after they get rich and put on 30 pounds.

And Hetfield from the Band Formerly Known as Metallica.

Rock stars smoke too much indoor hydro weed that uses over 1600 kWh of electricity (mainly coal or nat gas) and a plethora of harsh chems per 1000W bulb per crop.

Whether or not you agree with his position, you cannot dispute there will be a significant loss. This was admitted by Shell itself.

Sorry, OP drew in Neil Young. You played the celeb card now run with the hand you have dealt. As to his position, I chose not to read it as I chose not to waste my time on celeb gossip.

For 400 years the Chipewyans had jobs raping the forest for the Northwest Company eating white foods like bannock, bacon, beans and sugar because the ecosystem was already poisoned and couldn't support the successfull tribe whose that was rapidly growing because they had jobs and traded for modern technology.

When did they become subsistence "keepers of the earth". Across the border in SK they are well paid uranium, gold, zinc iron and copper miners, foresters, geologists, engineers, conservation officers, healthcare, social workers, educators and everything else under tthe sun because they've had jobs for 400 years raping mother earth and enjoy being well paid.

I learned that in grade 6 for f-ck sakes. I'm sure they taught that in Winnipeg too. What grade was Neil in when he dropped out?

Thanks for your contribution.

I'll just wait for someone competent to actually respond to the issue.

If not I'll just have to respond to petey. ;)

Coming from you, now I know we can finally close up this thread lol

Did you hear what Young had to say?.. I didn't think so

Lemme guess, because it was from Neil, and he opposes the p/l and oilsands much like yourself, that must mean that his position is based on concrete facts, peer reviewed and possibly sanctioned by the IPCC.

Guess that there is no need for any nation to have a regulatory process or Federal reviews... Just have to call up ole Neil and he'll make all those decisions for ya

For Loc, that response is pretty lol-worthy considering Harper is reconsidering Canada's biggest energy endeavour due to environmental concerns.

For cap'n, we already went over the significant bits. I'm sure there is plenty of rhetoric, but Shell already admitted to the damage that would be caused by this and that is the crux of Young's message.

How is it possible for you to make that comment unless you actually heard what he had to say?

Fact is; Shell will be leaving that land in far better condition than when they arrived.

You and Young appear to be under the impression that it is pristine wilderness... It ain't; not by a long shot
