Canada and US are 'friends and neighbours" we can put diplomacy aside for the benefit of the entire neighbourhood.

Hows the frack'n going anyways?

Same out come as usual, flammable water and trucking water to peoples homes?
We've been trucking water out here for decades already thanks to nitrates and fecal coliforms.

HST Ballots going out in BC

B.C. Finance Minister Kevin Falcon says he's confident a possible postal strike won't halt plans for a mail-in ballot on the HST.
Postal workers could be off the job as early as Wednesday.
Elections BC plans to send out the HST referendum ballots between June 13 and June 24.
It's up to the chief electoral officer to deal with the possible disruption in postal service, said Falcon.
"The public will get their vote," he said. "It's just a question of the chief electoral officer making sure he does that in a way that satisfies the Referendum Act and satisfies the potential unforeseen circumstances."
The B.C. government has already made one preemptive move in case of a strike — sending welfare cheques out a week early to avoid possible payment disruptions.
There's been no word from Elections BC on whether the referendum may have to be postponed. Results of the province wide vote on the future of the tax are not expected until August

At least the people of BC get a vote even if it is after the fact. I hope the people of BC decide to
scrap it so the Liberals will be shown up for trying to hide their massive deficit. The payout they
got from the Feds paid for half of their incompetence.

Yep.

John Baird is portrayed as a monster in the House, and Jack Layton wants a return to civility..... :)

Jack Layton and his caucus will enter Parliament Thursday with a promise to be a very civil Opposition. Even the NDP’s most notorious pitbull, Winnipeg MP Pat Martin, will be passing out buttons reading “Opto Civilitas,” Latin for “I choose civility.”
But on the eve of the new (ideally) more respectful parliament, a new civility index finds Mr. Layton among the worst offenders when it comes to negative exchanges during Question Period. The findings, from researchers at McMaster University, will be presented to the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Fredericton on Wednesday.

Check it out! Especially the graphics.....see Mr. Layton and Mr. Baird compared on the negativity of their speeches.....

UPDATED: Question Period rife with rudeness, Layton most negative, new index finds | News | National Post

Of course, to be fair to Taliban Jack, the opposition's job is to be negative about gov't policies..............as he was, and will be.

And "positive" speaking in the House is of course more apt to be done by gov't members praising their own gov't......and "negative" speaking is not necessarily uncivil......

But interesting all the same.

Yea, I guess you wouldn't have a problem with someone who believes the Kyoto protocol would cause 'economic collapse', lol

Probably because it will destroy our economy. That was basically the intent. A massive redistribution of wealth to third world countries at our expense. Except for people that collect rich taxpayer funded pensions.

Yeah you're right. The Liberals were offered to become America's biggest supplier of energy of all types if we go help blow the **** out of Iraq and destabilize the Middle East and put embargos on Iran.

It worked. AB and SK are energy world beaters now. The Liberals gave us what the Saudis, Iraqis and Iranians were enjoying for far far far too long. We set out to kill OPEC and it worked. Thank goodness the Liberals set AB and SK up so sweet.

BC could be joining in on that bonanza as well if all the leftarded greenies of the world hadn't moved here. Now we can't even get a coal mine opened in an area that has a 150 year history of coal mining.

I've got the solution. The problem is that all those MP's are too wound up and need to relax a bit... Maybe Jacko can organize a rub-'n-tug-friendship-weekend. I understand that he has preferred customer and can get volume discount rates.
