Not at all Mugabe's tribe followed Cecil Rhodes and his white settlers into Rhodesia ,And multiplied due to the riches provided by the white colonists .

Mugabe is an idiot this is true. To suggest the Brits should go back in
and take over is just nonsense. He is not a black Hitler either he isn't
smart enough to qualify for that title. At some point the citizens of the
nation will have to take charge of their own country and that time will
come. As for the whites leaving they should have left long ago and left
these people to their own devises.

Of course it is... Personal responsibility is far easier to assume when you have someone else to blame

PS - on the slavery thingy; I find it interesting that ground zero of the slave trade was initiated by select tribes that 'collected' the slaves and traded them to the European slavers.... Don't make it right, but that small detail never seems to make it into discussion relative to this issue.

It's not centuries of "western colonialism and imperialism" that has brought "racial tensions" to Zimbabwe.
It's Mugabe's racist dictatorship that has brought "racial tensions" to Zimbabwe by forcing people out of their homes and farms just because they are white.
None of that happened when Zimbabwe, then known as Rhodesia, was under British rule. As part of the British Empire, Rhodesia was a wealthy country which produced so many crops it became known as the Breadbasket of Africa.
Gaining independence from Britain in 1980 was a big mistake for Zimbabwe. It's a perfect example of why the world would be better off with the British Empire back.
I'm afraid I don't see the irony. And neither do you, because your knowledge of Rhodesian and Zimbabwean history is practically non-existent.
Why is it nonsense? Who are you to tell the Zimbabweans what rule is best for them? There are many in Zimbabwe, of those who can no longer stand living in a murderous dictatorship, who are desperate for the return of British rule. I remember not too long ago seeing a news report where Zimbabweans were being interviewed in which they were talking of their happy days under British rule when Zimbabwe was a wealthy place and they spoke of their desire for Mugabe and his thugs to be ousted and for British rule to return.
Just as a 2011 poll showed that 60% of Jamaicans still wish their country was part of the British Empire, I wouldn't be too surpriseed if most Zimbabweans also wish their country was still British.
What the British need to do is find out which countries wish a return of British rule - such as Jamaica and Zimbabwe - and give them the British rule they want. It can be so easy for the Empire to return and for this world to be a better place.
So you won't acknowledge the actual history of the area and like gopher's broken record blame whitey .

It is no secret that Mugabe has billions stashed away in Swiss accounts. All the more reason to close down all foreign tax shelters as I have written on this forum over the years. These shelters allow the elites of every country (whether they be Zimbabwe, Iraq, or whatever) to avoid taxes, steal foreign aid money intended to help the poor, cause further socio-political rifts in their countries, and entrench their power.
