What do you think of the Muslim men and women who lost their lives on 9/11? Do they not have a right to be remembered too? And why would a mosque not be an appropriate remembrance considering their religion? Do their relatives not have a right to commemorate their lives with a mosque? Do their relatives not have more say than you on whether a mosque ought to be built there? Did you personally lose a relative in 9/11?

The building was abandoned. It was purchased by the Cordoba Institute, and is intended to be a community center, including a mosque, but also a gymnasium and a swimming pool. There is a nearby Mosque which is already filled to capacity, so the faithful Muslims in the area are building a new community center to accommodate.

What a massive troll. The memorial will be built, and nobody would even know the Mosque is two blocks away if it weren't for bigoted busy body idiots looking for a fight. They all need a good dose of STFU.

A few people go up to him and taunt him about how Mulims aren't welcome, and then he stands up to say:

"My mom died here while I was an infant. I came to pay my respects."

I wonder how those bigots would then feel.
