That's a social issue, not a medical one.

That's the problem with the abortion debate. What drives a woman to abort, who doesn't want her to, who supports her decision.... it's all beside the point for the medical community so long as a woman is determined to abort, because they simply need to deal with the outcome and attempt to keep as many people alive as possible.


Socially speaking, I think it's deplorable to end a pregnancy a father wants.

If she donates her eggs to another couple she too no longer controls those decisions.

If you post you rates publically for stud fees payable 290 days, It's an implied contract which contains a ownership clause and bill her for early contract termination or the outlined long term 18 year lease.

Rights shmights, contract law is pretty weighty too.

The long and short of it is abortion rights have nothing to do with child support fairness. One can have the best argument for or against support and custody rights but those have nothing to do with abortion.

I wouldnt give him that much credit. Im glad the nuclear family isnt the only model anymore. Im glad I was raised by a single mother. I'll take one good parent over a good one and a bad one. Had my parents not been able to break up I would have been raised in part by an emotionally abusive alcoholic father. Given what he was im glad he wasnt there.

Well if you fear an awkward situation you can ensure that when the sperm leaves your body it isnt headed up towards a woman's uterus. Thats not very hard to do. Or you can chose not to have sex with any woman who is capable of having children.

That was a very brief period. Maybe one generation. It may have just been a historical fluke. I doubt we'll be going back to that sort of arrangement anytime soon.

It's a biased right that can be used for screwball purposes like spite, revenge, monetary gain or worse.

If a woman decides she wants to produce babies for cash adoptions for tremendous financial gain by being an easy hosebag, what percentage would the male who was unknowingly being used as breed stock be entitled to if he found out?

The fact that it's based on the "straw man of the Person" and not the reality of which is a Human Right to Life is very flimsy

It's a very manipulative term.

You stand by the Human Right to Life when it's used to justify military actions and trade blockades, why not fully?

Corporations and Governments are Persons too.

How do you go about getting one them aborted when you can't afford one, aren't ready for one, one will make you fat or you just don't want one?

Men are sperm donors. They don't have to carry a fetus for 9 months and all the physical and emotional turmoil that can cause. Men who want to force a woman to go through pregnancy are on an ego trip, whether or not it is their fetus. This is a male emotional issue, which I find rather peculiar. I have yet to fathom the mental process behind this irrational behaviour. It probably is some kind of species survival mechanism, like male lions that will kill all the cubs in a pride they have just taken over so they can have their seed live on. It seems to be a rather counter productive evolutionary trait, like the last vestiges of some caveman mentality of ownership of women. Or perhaps it is some leftover dark ages program that says a man is not a man unless he reproduces so his name will live on.

Anyway, I never understood why men think they have a right to say what a woman does with her body or why anybody thinks they have any say about how anybody else deals with their life. I can only surmise that it comes down to old social programming or colossal egos. Take your pick.

Nonsense. We've been a single income family for the last 16+ years. Own my house outright and have two cars. It really isn't that difficult. You just have to make choices that most people aren't willing to accept.
