But why would Ralphie go to Manitoba,

Likely to steal doctors, nurses, scientists...you know, educated people. Either that, or he'd be here on a booze run.

Hey, all the educated people came to Alberta already. And like I said on another post, after privatizing the booze business, he just has to go to the corner store, or have a delivery service deliver it. But then, there is that nasty thing about him quitting a couple of years ago, so I guess that he doesn't need booze anyway.

Have you done a comparison vis a vis Alberta and the rest of Canada? Tuition rates are coming down, thanks to Ralph. With lower tax rates and no PST, Albertans can actually keep more money in their pockets for things like education. Ever hear of student loans? Ever hear of scholarships? Maybe if we could keep more of the federal tax we pay, then your comments would be moot, not just in Alberta but all across Canada.

Ralphie did less when he had far more a few years ago. The result is that fewer people enrolled in school. The current shortage of doctors can be traced, in large part, to that.

Now the provinces who did not cut so deeply and have more graduates as a result are having the results of their planning poached by Alberta. You guys should be writing us cheques for the educations we subsidized.

So now the shortage of Canadian doctors is also Ralphs fault? If I recall correctly, our Universities, colleges, and trade schools have waiting lists already. Hard to put more in when you are full already. And part of the problem is that Alberta now has many people from across Canada moving here because of the Alberta advantage, so maybe the rest of Canada should be writing Alberta cheques for the costs we incur because of these new people. Of course, I am kidding, we want people to come to Alberta because we have made it advantageous, but it shows the fallacy of your statement.

You haven't been paying attention to the whole discussion, Blue. The cuts to education a decade ago, especially by the Klein and Harris governments who made the deepest cuts, meant that fewer Doctors (especially GPs) were being trained.

Now we don't have enough people graduating to fill the empty positions. The result is that Alberta, because it is rich, is stealing graduates from provinces who cut less than Alberta is. You have, in reality, subsidized yourselves with the education money of other provinces.

I knew a doctor who left Canada about 10 years ago. The reason? Too much tax for his income. Had nothing to do with education, he had paid for his education many times over since he became a doctor. What he could not stand was working as hard as he did, and I think people in the health care industry do work hard, and at the end of the day paying what he considered too much taxes. He moved to the US, less tax, less hours, and more choice. I have met him a few times since he left, and he cannot understand why more doctors don't leave. Not due to underfunding education, but too high a tax rate. So if we have a shortage, blame the leftist policies over the years that require money to fund and run.

It took you six hours to make that up? Jesus Christ, I've made up more sensible tales while getting my hand out a girlfriend's pants and hiding my beer under the seat.

I knew a doctor who stayed in Canada. Hell, I know doctors that have come to Canada. My present doctor not only emigrated here, but thinks marijauna should be legal and Stephen Harper should be castrated.

Those are real truths. Since we are working in the Blue Alberta No Facts Zone, lets toss in a bit more though. What the f*ck?

I once had a doctor who thought that Ralph Klein might not have been a mongoloid.
George Bush's doctor once called me up to ask if I knew of any cures for stupidity.
Blue's mother asked me if he was gay. "No," I said, "He's generally pretty sad. I think it's because he's sexually conflicted."

You are a pig. Unlike you, I have a life outside this forum and have other things to do. Discount my truth, I could care less. And go ahead, keep on attacking me personally, it shows the lack of credibility in your position. Your believabilty factor is pretty much zero with that last response.

Whether you like it or not, there are other postions and opinions out there, and othe truths than what you or your left friends understand. I think you would only be happy in some sort of socialist paradise, where whatever anyone earned during the year was sent to some sort of omnipotent government to dole back out to the grateful masses as they see fit. You know, the Stepford wives mentality. Have fun in Stepford, Rev.

And what is it with you and my mother? That's twice now you have mentioned her. My mother is not that stupid to hang around with the likes of you, so you must have some sort of mommy fixation that you have not told anyone about. They have therapy for that, you know. It's publicy funded, even, so go for it :p

You are a pig.

Yup.

Unlike you, I have a life outside this forum and have other things to do.

Like watching Ralphie dance in his new panties?

Discount my truth, I could care less.

and yet it increases your moral poverty

And go ahead, keep on attacking me personally,

Okey Dokey.

it shows the lack of credibility in your position.

Which position? I like the lotus thing myself.

Your believabilty factor is pretty much zero with that last response.

You mean the part where I made fun of you after mentioning the "no facts zone"? Do you mean those things I said are true? I never meant them to be and made a point of it. If you want to make that admission though.....

Whether you like it or not, there are other postions

ooohh baby, baby

You know, the Stepford wives mentality. Have fun in Stepford, Rev.

The Stepford Wives was about your type. I like my women alive and non-robotic. You might try watching the movie..once you get done with that pig of course....

And what is it with you and my mother?

Not sure...what was her name?

That's twice now you have mentioned her.

Is she a brunette?

My mother is not that stupid to hang around with the likes of you,

Oh Jesus, if her name is Colleen I'm gonna crap my pants.

Rev, you really have got to cut back on those Manitoba drugs. Or maybe the bug spray you use is more than bug spray?

BTW, cannot resist, CNN just announced out of the top 20 influential people in their 25 years of broadcasting, two conservatives topped the list:

#2: Pope John Paul, widely considered to be the most conservative pope in recent history.

And # 1: TA DA:

RONALD REAGAN

You know, the guy who cut spending, cut taxes, created millions of jobs, and gee, what else, oh yeah, stopped the cold war and watched both the dissolution of the militaristic soviet union and the falling of the Berlin wall.

But what the hey, he did not really do much for the world, now did he. And this from what is considered by the CRTC to be a left wing news organization. Turner must be absolutely livid

Blue...I am your faaaaather, Blue.

Your mother wasn't that blonde chick in the trailer that night was she? What the hell was her name? Jamie or Betty or something? Sex and mushrooms don't mix well. Actually they do, but the memories are all mixed up.

Come join the light side, Blue.

Last I checked, Québec has the best Post Secondary Education system in Canada, if not North America.

I don't know about best, but you were certainly right up there and advancing. The difference in education is just a symptom though. The real point is the encouragement of knowledge. Quebec has, since the quiet revolution, done an excellent job at that. It is something to be very proud of.

The Toronto Star, for those who are not aware, is a Liberal supporting media newspaper. It is only one paper in the country and it has a left wing bias. Therefore, read this link with this in mind. To be fair, the Sun chain in Canada has a right wing bias, so take what you read there with the same thing in mind.
