One last post before I go to bed, new husband and wife of mine. Since I am going alone...

hehehe.... I might suggest that it is indeed better to go to bed alone, than to take angry pussy with you.

Have a good rest!

Think about it this way, Gopher - what if they did give a sh*t for you? What would you do with it?

Believe it or not, when people dream about sh*t, it means they are dreaming about money.

Well, a man can dream, can't he? ;-)

Well I think the entire concept of being married is overrated . People assume marriage as a life milestone . Finsh college , get a good job , get married have kids . Boring! I've been single for years just having very short relations I'am only 22 but I'am not at all interested in getting married . As far as i'am concerned staying with the same person for years on end would drive me to extreme boredom.

Having been married to the same, exciting woman roughly twice as long as you have been alive, I would have to disagree. Your post suggests that you have a lot of growing up to do before you even consider marriage. I guarantee that your attitude will undergo a rather abrupt, 180 degree shift when you meet the right woman. It will become your most important calling to ensure that she feels the same way.

I loved the story of L.S. Lewis..
so sad..when he finally found his love at so late age...
Anyways, I'm only 17 but..I'm certainly going to marry..when I find a person that is.
And that of course, being me so awkward, is less likely (concerned...)

You see...I'd like to see like 6 children when I marry.
I want to actually pay for their university and college. I actually WANT to raise children, believe it or not.
Its..not fantasy..its my goal :p
Marriage is not suppose to be bondage, its suppose to unite couples under one flesh and ones suffering to be suffering of another.
Its sad that divorce rate is so high now days, its sad that society no longer values marriage, and its awkward that why we even have marriage because...there are lesbians and gays and polygamy.
I mean, why would anyone have marriage?
Its not significant right?

The husband(s) rarely have work or make a pretense at farming while the women collect welfare payments for their children - all of whom are sired by the one father.

This occurs all the time "unofficially" in Canada and elsewhere, I'd imagine.

We call them "Baby Mommas".

The white trash who used to live next door to me were a prime example.

Three families, officially "abandoned" according to Canadian law, but the husband would come around like clockwork for whatever he could get. We'd laugh because when she knew he was coming the one thing she would hide (under my porch) was her BEER.
Whoever had the most money to give him would get his "attention" for a day or a few where he'd actually play "dad/hubby" for a day or two until the booze and money was gone.
He is languishing in jail now on spousal abuse charges ("what ya git when der's no money fer me").

Apparently this is a bigger issue in certain areas of Toronto.

I am, if I have to be.

Then you should find what it is you are seeking in a mate if you have the endurance. There will be pressure, you understand by those who mean well.
A word of advice if I may be so bold. Sometimes it's those little imperfections that make the real attraction so much stronger. In the finding out and knowing all your little pecadilos, only to love you even more, is a quality when found, is most endearing. It's that two people "get" each other that makes the magic. When you find someone that after a short time understands you, and after even more time understands you when no one else does, that you find you have made the wise choice.

There is no time for this to happen. For some, it's right away, for others later on in life. The important thing is to let it happen even if it means that you might get hurt along the way.

Best of luck to you and may you find the joy and happiness with someone that my wife and I have found in our relationship.

Heinlein had a great ability to explain and rationalize polygamy and polyamory in such a way that it made total sense and almost justifies crossing the incestual boundary.
Funny, I had thought of his books as well when I read this thread.

"The Number of The Beast" was another of his books I enjoyed.

You should read Friday, Stranger in a Strange Land, Job: A Comedy of Justice, or For Us The Living by Robert Heinlein. The human capacity to love definitely goes beyond the bounds a polarised relationship which traditionally subjugates women to a subservient role. The love I have for my family, my friends, my exes and people that I won't have the opportunity to have a relationship with are not lessened by and do not lessen the love I have for my wife.

Impetus - that sounds much like many of the families in Utah - however I think booze is not the reason - but a matter of hanging onto the old scriptural 'ways' and proof of one's manhood.

The children are the primary breadwinners - the more children - the higher the income for each family as the children are treated by the FoodStamp/Welfare Check people, as if they are living with a single mother. They are probably well cared for compared with the world of fostered or group home children, but the psychic damage done to them in the absence of self realization is immense.

As with all things - the 100% is a variation and many survive I hope to go on and live individual lives eventually - perhaps the males moreso than the young girls who seem to be introduced to sex at an early age which often acts negatively on their self-esteem. To a young girl who is coerced into sexual acts - one can equate the same inner response as one who is battered.

Earlier the talk of sharing partners and homes and intertwining coupledom as adults is fine in my book and I could care less what people do behind their domicile doors. I would naturally wish all four, six, or as many in the group at last count - a happy and lucky experience....and a soft landing when it ends.

"The Number of the Beast" was one shaggy dog, mate! I enjoyed it too.

This is going to sound a little Freudian but... there is nothing wrong with incest per se. If I separated a boy and girl at birth and then brought them back together later in life, there is nothing natural that will stop them from falling in love. Normally there is the experience of growing up together that forms a platonic love which generally makes erotic love seem unappealing. Genes are the biggest reason why incest is taboo, but if there is not going to be a pregnancy... anyways, I will drop that line now.

As for welfare... people have a really misguided impression of it. Instead of thinking of it incorrectly as a handout, realize that it is nothing more than an inheritance. In the past my mom, my dad, my grandfathers, grandmothers, great-grandparents and so paid taxes one way, or another. This public money was used to fund science which lead to the industrial revolution. We are now a very prosperous society because of the incredibly hard work of so many ancestors. Not everyone needed to work hard to get here, science doesn't work that way. This prosperous society was their gift to us and although some people might think that descendants must earn the right to their inheritance, most people see nothing wrong with a parent leaving a fortune behind for their family.

These technologies had a negative impact as well. Whereas a textile mill before needed 100 workers, the industrial process needed only 90. Now 10 people had to find new jobs, but the production of the same plant had vastly increased and although those 10 people were out of work, there was no loss in the new productivity in giving them returns from tax on the products in the form of public funds. This process is continuing today and is still largely due to the allocation of public funds into research and development. Modern aircraft, computers, electronics of all forms, lasers, nanotechnologies, biotechnologies, all of these things and more were born out of state sector research and development. The benefits from these products are all of our inheritances.

I know I'm playing with context a bit but these statements are alarming:

- "there is nothing wrong with incest per se"
- "As for welfare... realize that it is nothing more than an inheritance."

With such blinkered thinking leading the way no wonder some folks are so screwed up!
Niflmir, you're a dangerous lad.

The problem with incest is that children of incest generally speaking have a much higher incidence of birth defects and major health issues.

That's where the societal rejection of incest has come from.

Ten Penny, true. But I also think restrictions on incest, even in earliest times, were initiated to protect children from predatory intra-family behaviour.
