The original poster said that Third World women should look up to Michelle Obama for her stature, status

EagleSmack, I never said that, show me where I say that. What I said was that based upon this story, third world women look up to Michelle, I never said they should look up to her.

If you want to disagree with me that is your right, but at least take the trouble to read the story accurately before you disagree.

as SJP put it "Michelle is as dark as they come."

Anything wrong with that?

since you are a Muslim that Al Jazeera is your primary news source.

Again, I did not say that; show me where I said that. What I said was that being a Muslim she would regard Al Jazeera as more objective, more reliable than CNN, I never said that she got her news from Al Jazeera, that is was her primary source of news. Again get your story straight.

In your zeal to criticize me, to disagree with me, you are losing sight of the facts.

Around and around it goes.
The bastion of all that is good in liberal land SJP turns out to be a racist.
To funny .
How does it feel to be so gently thrown from your pedestal?

Yes, it is funny isn’t it. A Muslim (and from her posts, I assume a Fundamentalist Muslim), a Conservative Republican (who would normally hate the Fundamentalist Muslim with a passion) and I don’t know what karrie is, but such a motley crew getting together to accuse a liberal of being a racist.

Yes, it is funny, I can see the humor in it. But that is what gets my juices going, pgs, one against many. I am more than a match for anybody.

In my opinion siprit means nothing, almost every news source claims to be objective. To me actions speak louder than words.

Well... then to boil it down to its absolute simplest form....

Stop putting words in people's mouths, paraphrasing and assuming, because the way you view words is not the way others do.

If you assume that she finds it more objective, then why wouldn't you assume it's where she turns for her news? Eagle's just paraphrasing and expanding on what you said. No biggie, right? Oh, wait a minute... does it bother you when someone falls wide of the mark in how they change what you said?

LMAO... I was giving you the benefit of a doubt that you were saying that they look up to her for a little more than her skin color. Apparently I was wrong and you think her skin color is the primary reason.

My mistake...

If you want to disagree with me that is your right, but at least take the trouble to read the story accurately before you disagree.

Nice try... we get what you mean and you KNOW we do.

Yes...it is racist and patronizing. It is a bigotted comment.

Semantics...that is what you are using...more reliable vs. primary...we get what you meant.

Another patronizing statement because you introduced the Al Jezera comment as opposed to the poster.

In your zeal to criticize me, to disagree with me, you are losing sight of the facts.

Not at all.

It is funny to see a Liberal Democrat like yourself go under by his own words...which are indeed racist.

Just because you continue to post does not make you a match. This is like shooting fish in a barrel for us.

OK, so you agree with me that when you claimed that I said that third world women should look up to Michelle (what I said is that they look up to Michelle, according to the story), you were simply inventing it out of thin air. So we are in agreement here.

If you want to disagree with me that is your right, but at least take the trouble to read the story accurately before you disagree.

Nice try... we get what you mean and you KNOW we do.

No you don’t EagleSmack, if I say sky blue, you claim that I said sky is red. You don’t get it, you miss it by a mile.

Yes...it is racist and patronizing. It is a bigotted comment.

Now, that is a matter of opinion isn’t it?

Semantics...that is what you are using...more reliable vs. primary...we get what you meant.

There is nothing about semantic at all, there is a huge difference (it is like me saying that sky is blue, and you claiming I said that sky is red).

More reliable means that news items reported there are more trustworthy. Primary means that she gets most of her news from that source. One has nothing to do with other.

As I said, I can understand you zeal, you enthusiasm with which you want to disagree with me. But you should read my posts first before you comment on them. More reliable and primary means the same thing? Is English your second language? Show me which dictionary says that more reliable is the same thing as primary.

Indeed you are, I gave two samples here. Let me recap. You claimed that I said that third world women should look up to Michelle, while what I said was that third world women look up to Michelle, according to the CNN story. The other was that I said that Amatullaah probably considers Al Jazeera to be more reliable than CNN, you claimed that I said that she regards Al Jazeera as the primary source of news.

As I said, you want to disagree with me, you want to criticize me, I can understand that. But do control your enthusiasm long enough to read my posts.

EagelSmack, and your point is?

It is funny to see a Liberal Democrat like yourself go under by his own words...which are indeed racist.

Well now, that is a matter of opinion, isn’t it?

Just because you continue to post does not make you a match. This is like shooting fish in a barrel for us.

Then that should make you happy. What is the problem?

Joey... Do you REALLY think I agree with you? Do you REALLY think that? Or is this you just being you?

I think the latter.

If you assume that she finds it more objective, then why wouldn't you assume it's where she turns for her news?

Now why should I assume that, karrie? Being a Muslim (and from her posts, I get the impression that she is a Fundamentalist Muslim), it is a reasonable assumption that she regards all the Western news sources (CNN, FOX and everything else) as spawned by the kafirs, spawned by the ungodly, AL Jazeera and Al Arabia as created by the blessings of Allah and she would regard them as more reliable, more objective than any network in North America or Europe.

But why would she turn to Al Jazeera as primary source of news? It doesn’t make sense. Al Jazeera mainly concentrates on Middle East, Amatullaah does not live in Middle East. What is more I get the impression that she is not even from the Middle East, I get the impression that she is a Caucasian who converted to Islam (am I right, Amatullaah?).

So it was a reasonable assumption that she regards Al Jazeera as more objective, more reliable than CNN (and as it turns out, I was right in my assumption). But there was nothing to indicate that she used Al Jazeera as the primary source of news.

As I said in my previous post, you call it racism, I call it deductive logic. Logic told me that she probably regards Al Jazeera as more reliable than CNN, but logic told me that there was insufficient data to draw any conclusion about her primary source of news.

Of course you agree with me, EagleSmack. If not, explain how you come to the conclusion that I said that third world women should look up to Michelle? Where did you read that?

Similarly, how did you come to the conclusion that I said that Amatullaah regards Al Jazeera as her primary source of news? Where did you read that?

After you wrote it, you probably realized that in your zeal to criticize me, you did not read my posts properly, you half read something and proceeded to criticize me based upon that.

Now you probably realize your mistake and are too proud to admit it. So yes, I think you do agree with me.

Who has pissed the furthest so far? Is there a pool? (pun intended)

Oh, we are having a pleasant enough discussion, Petros. After all, that is what we are here for.

As long as nobody resorts to name calling or insults, it remains an enjoyable process. So I don’t see any problem, I don’t see any pissing. Thankfully the Trolls haven't inserted their ugly heads in it (yet).

Your dabbling in semantics to mask your racist comment is falling flat.

Not in the slightest. I do not believe she is a role model to third world women. She is a well to do American woman and the color of her skin in no way is a qualifier for a good role model as you claim it is.

I've made no mistakes.

I do not agree with the premise of the original post and your comment is racist.

I know that you think that she is not a model for third world women, EagelSmack, and I respect your views (though I don’t agree with them).

And I never said that you made a mistake in holding those views. They are your views and you are entitled to them.

The mistake you made was when you claimed that I said that third world women should regard her as a role model, that third world women should look up to her.

And I did not say that, I said (go back and read my posts again) that based upon the CNN story, third world women do look up to her, do regard her as a role model. And they do that because of her various accomplishments and also because of the fact that she looks like them.

Now, if you think that view is racist, that is your business. But the mistake you made is that you did not read my posts properly and clamed that I said something which I didn’t.

There is no better indication as to why the so-called third world is the third world than looking up to a "role model" like Michelle Obama.

For somebody who is too cheap to subscribe to FOXNews, and has no clue what goes on there, that is quite a statement, Mr. President!

For all those young mind filled with mush, trying and aspiring to be great debaters, learn from the MASTER of spin, prevarifications and lies:

"Well now, that is a matter of opinion, isn’t it?"
"Now, that is a matter of opinion isn’t it?"
"Well now, that is a matter of opinion, isn’t it?"

His, and if you believe in liberal nonsense, not supported by facts, your ultimate escape from reality.
