That's nice and all, but do you have a source that shows Pelosi said people don't need God anymore? Cause that's the topic I'm on.

This ...

"You don't need God anymore, you have us Democrats." - Nancy Pelosi
(Quoted 2006)

...where's the source on this, besides just some chain letter?

This I copied and pasted from Google. When clicked on it it came up blank. Obviously this existed at one time but even for a pathetic pseudo-Catholic like the abortionist Palosi it was too embarrassing, and had it removed.

Did Nancy Pelosi really say "You don't need God anymore, you have ...

If she did say it, when and where was it? ... She said something to the effect that the Democrats were following the Word in the way they govern. ...

You should really stop quoting chain emails. They have a terrible track record in being right?

Nancy Pelosi said people don't need God anymore in 2006? And it's not picked up by any media whatsoever?

I made an apples-to-apples comparison, meaning I compared statements Bachmann made that were rated by PolitiFact.com and statements that Obama made that were rated by PolitiFact.com. Yeah, Obama has made some false statements, but he's also made true statements.

Obama's record is "much more poor"? Not exactly.

The sure was a lot of talk about it back in 2006, but no references I can find to it today except for Answers.com that just has this.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/You_don%27t_need_God_anymore_you_have_us_Democrats

Which just says Answer: Nancy Pelosi 2006

Statements have been said to have been quoted by people for a lot less.

Bachmann has made true statements, not all false or slips of the tongue also, the problem is that Obama is causing problems when he makes statements true or false. He has the power, she doesn't. After all he has been to all 57 States.

I saw Bachmann got in trouble with Tom Petty for playing "American Girl". I found that to be amusing. Republicans have awful luck with songs.

That quote by Pelosi is a perfect example of what the public is not getting through regular news media, emails do offer a alternate news source. Liked your post.

Truth O Meter tells all.

Michele Bachmann

President Barack Obama

PolitiFact | All statements involving Barack Obama

It sure does...

Bachmann:

  • True 1
  • Mostly True 0
  • Half True 2
  • Barely True 5
  • False 11
  • Pants on Fire 7
Obama:

  • True 75
  • Mostly True 66
  • Half True 71
  • Barely True 39
  • False 49
  • Pants on Fire 3
The two of them have different skews. Bachmann more often than not is lying. Obama is more likely to tell the truth.

She has 6 Years experience in Congress, that is much more than President Obama had when he took office.

Your hero Bush had no experience in Congress before he phucked things up in the White House. Yet, according to the right wingers he could do no wrong and was the closest thing to perfection. Therefore, Congressional experience counts for nothing.

Governor of Texas 5 years. More experience than Obama also. Learn more as Governor than congressman anyway.

Now that Bachmann is a top candidate, she is being scrutinized like a top candidate...first the media discovered that the clinic that is run by Bachmann's husband has taken $30,000 in Minnesota State funds since 2007. Then they discovered that Bachmann's tax records list her as a partner in a farm that has received $260,000 in farm subsidies from 1995 to 2008.

Now, it's emerged that her husband's clinic has received $137,000 in Medicaid payments since 2005! After all her blustering about cutting back on healthcare! Her husband's clinic is receiving fee-for-service payments from Medicaid, for low income patients who without this funding would not be able to afford treatment.

Medicaid is a state and federally funded healthcare system. What is the problem with a clinic receiving $137,000 since 2005 (not very much money) from Medicaid, it was designed to fund the poor and those who do not have Medicare.

Because most likely he would have closed the door to the poor or elderly unless he knew he'd get that money from the government. And for all you know, he may have jacked up the price tag to pull in more cash.

The money clinics get from either Medicaid or Medicare for that matter is minuscule compared to what the actual bill is. By the way the clinic and doctors have to eat the rest of the bill.

example: medical cost is $100.00, Medicaid only pays clinic $28.

Which is why they jack up the price so much. Besides, working at a clinic usually only encompasses part of a doctor's day. He may spend the rest of the week at a medical college, in surgery, or at a dispensary doing other duties and getting paid quite well for it.

You know how conservatives love to point out that Al Gore campaigns for climate change solutions, but travels around on jets, and has a big carbon footprint? It's hypocrisy. Michele Bachmann campaigns for less government welfare, but her family has uses all kinds of government welfare. If it's not a big deal, then why has she been making a big deal of it before it was evident that her family has benefited from it?

Just like David Dingwall said about being "Entitled to my entitlements" .Do you really begrudge the Bachmann family their entitlements for all the good works they have done?

It is because Obama and gang are trying to force more costly programs upon a system that is already stretched thin. But bottom line, we have a health system for those who cannot afford one. All these new programs will entail a large staff to oversee them, thus increasing big government. We just have to learn to run what we have more efficiently with fewer overseers.
