I much prefer smart women. Dumb ones might be OK to party with but in the morning when they are stuck for an answer when you ask their name you know the light ain,t shining too bright.

The study is not a surprise. Most men have fragile egos. Mine knows himself, what he can do and what he cannot, and that gives him self-confidence. And THAT is sexy to me (among other qualities), not fragile egos. And although he is a tradesperson, he is quite well-read and can chat about a lot of things scientific or otherwise. Intelligence is sexy.

It may be that discerning men are put off by one-dimensional intelligence in women.

Just under the title in the article it says, "The yet-to-be-released study reports that men 'showed less attraction toward women who outsmarted them'". If all the women had were high IQs and were not socially intelligent, they would not have had decent assessments from the men to begin with.

Nothing wrong with being a trades person. That does not necessarily mean anything other than your livelihood. People that provide needful services are the salt of the earth,

So many people think people should be defined by their occupation! Maybe that's alright- I'm more for people being defined by generosity, thoughtfulness and kindness.

There is a word that is used for men who are attracted to intelligent women I just can't remember it off hand. I guess if I were fortunate enough in my youth to meet a Lady who was smart, I'd fit into that classification.

I am comfortable in my own skin now threatened by intelligent women
My wife very intelligent a daughter who lives with us at the moment a
very intelligent woman and my book publish who is also a very smart
lady.

I get two phrases of advice from my wife "You can't do that"
From my publisher "Freddy you don't want to do that"

See good advice what more do you need

The people in parts of the world that dominate women have already
proven they are incompetent by their action let alone their verbal

It's like when you are a kid who has not reached puberty. You are attracted to someone who you admire not only for the way they look, but also ,and more so, for how smart they are. Hard to explain or put into words.
