I loved living near the tracks, still love the sound of the train. There will always be homeless some by the trials of life and actually some by choice.
Some panhandlers make more than people with jobs.
Unfortunately I don't see any reason not to feed people who are hungry and I am not
going to ask a hundred questions to see if they qualify. To be fair its not just the arches
that are nasty.
I was in an Arby's a couple of days before Christmas last year. Late afternoon this guy
was among the poor no doubt. He had ordered a burger and coffee and had lost a bit
of change. He was short. What I saw was the look of despair they said he didn't have
enough. My comment to the clerk Merry (f) Christmas to you. I paid for the meal and
gave him twenty bucks. I felt ashamed to be in the human race where people are treated
like this.
When I was a kid we lived near he tracks and hobo's came all the time my mother fed them
what she had. I don't think poor or the homeless are of any less value in life than me.
feed em ice creamCattle are vegetarians. Maybe if beef ate better, beef would be better for us?
I've got no objection to feeding homeless scum - as long as they pay. This is not a free-for-all.
