Standard definition in the U.S. is four or more dead in one incident. Of course, the press and the shriekers are playing with that, misusing generally understood terms for their propaganda purposes.
You get that stuff these days.
Of course, the government is doing its best to help, calling a pipe bomb a "weapon of mass destruction," a term formerly reserved for nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons.
Big pipe.
An A bomb can be made in a high school machine shop. Simple stuff.Well, I guess on the subject of fluid definitions, if you take a pipe, like a 5' gun barrel, charge it with basically gunpowder to propel a bullet of sorts made of uranium 235 into a target of the same stuff, put it all into a bigger pipe, with fins on the tail, name it 'Little Boy", and presto, you have a really big pipe bomb.
You know, you'd make a damned fool of yourself less often if you quoted links to back up your arguments.
In Canada this is simply bullshit.
A legal gun in the home does not increase the chance of spousal murder, as licensed Canadian gun owners have a murder rate 1/3 that of the general population, according to Gary Mauser's research.

And you fully trust phobias of the other side, fine.
AUSTRALIA: MORE VIOLENT CRIME DESPITE GUN BAN
Here's one courtesy of a source more aligned with your train of thought, bs rhetoric and all
Canada's restricted gun ownership increased 9.5 per cent in 2015 - Politics - CBC News
I know you'd like to think that more people like you are climbing into the clown car, but the original source you provided shows that the number of gun owners is decreasing. The fact that they are buying more guns does not change that fact. In any case, because this is Canada and not the gun obsessed USA, they at least have to acquire an FAC as I did when I acquired my firearms.
BTW here is one more reason why restricted firearm ownership might have increased - the Conservative changed the classification of formerly restricted firearms. Goodale rescinds Conservative directive that opened door to gun 'misclassification' - Politics - CBC News
I never said the amount of gun owners were increasing, and the stats the RCMP are using is only indicative of the valid firearms licenses in effect. The FAC no longer exists, it has been replaced by the Possession Acquisition License, which is a license that you need to legally possess firearms, the FAC was a 5 year permit to buy them, at that time no license was required to possess them. AS PAL's and RPAL's expire these owners cease to exist as owners, that doesn't mean they have relinquished their firearms, but there is no way of tracking unlicensed firearms owners.
What you consider formerly restricted firearms were originally non restricted; the Swiss Arms and CZ family of firearms cited were legally purchased as non restricted but that classification was arbitrarily changed by the RCMP to restricted in effect turning a large number of formerly legal firearms owners into criminals if they did not possess an RPAL, which was not required when they bought the things. What the Conservatives did was reverse that arbitrary decision of the RCMP, in other words, righting a wrong, a deliberate omission by the MSM. The CBC like all other lefty news sources are trying to spin this as some nefarious right wing conspiracy and you have bought into it. What it is, really, is a left wing conspiracy, something the Llibs and their useful idiots want, the disarming of legal firearms owners. The Libs under Chretien claimed it is not about confiscation, when it is all about confiscation, it is what they wanted and tried first under PET and have been doing, slowly, for the last 20 years. Now they have the RCMP, who are neither elected or accountable to the voters, doing their dirty work.
And as an extra added benefit, you can stand over the graves of the Moncton Mounties and the others murdered with guns in Canada and sneer at the U.S. for gun deaths.Actually, I don't really care. Canada's gun control laws were enacted to prevent the country from turning into another USA and so far that seems to have worked.

Yay!
Except, there was never a trend that suggested that we were becoming another USA, so all of your useless laws are accomplishing sweet fck all. It hasn't stopped one bullet.
Looks like Canada is just as safe for police as it is for average citizens.
You are focused on the wrong issue. You should be noting that regardless of ownership being on the rise or on the decrease, trends in lawful ownership has no identifiable influence on canada's crime rates. In fact, there is more correlation between an aging baby boomer generation and crime rates. Lawful ownership and canadIan gun laws don't seem to be significant at all.Wait - aren't you one of the those who was trying to tell me gun ownership in Canada was on the rise? I guess you were wrong.
Oops. Nice try. That's total officer who died on duty. Mostly because of accidents. In 2016, the total deliberately shot was 41.Yep you managed to find a case where a police officer was killed in Canada.
Here is the US figure - 135 on average. Looks like Canada is just as safe for police as it is for average citizens.
Number of U.S. Police Officers Killed on Duty Rises in 2016 | Time.com
Try to use less emotion in your posts, you are beginning to lose it.
If Canada is such a safe and wonderful place , why do all police officers wear Kevlar vests ? Oh and conservation officers ,customs and border control officers and even transit cops are wearing them .Actually, I don't really care. Canada's gun control laws were enacted to prevent the country from turning into another USA and so far that seems to have worked.
Beavers, dude. Those little bastards'll f*ck you up if you aren't constantly on your guard. If Canada is such a safe and wonderful place , why do all police officers wear Kevlar vests ? Oh and conservation officers ,customs and border control officers and even transit cops are wearing them .

why do all police officers wear Kevlar vests ?.
But with the safe gun free society we live in who would possibly be shooting at them ?Because unlike gun registries that track armour piercing hunting rifles, a kevlar vest will actually stop a bullet from a handgun.
They look pretty uncomfortable and very hot in the middle of summer time . It is a very comforting thing to see a sweating pig .Some handguns and they do nothing to stop a rib/breast bone from breaking/shattering and piercing vital organs.
