Did anybody bother to check if Layton has a Canadian birth certificate? ^^
Why, what is your criteria in choosing a leader for Canada?

Ladies and Gentlemen, might I direct your attention away from the lovely and charming Mr. Jack Layton, and ask you to look carefully at his POLICIES!!!!
In the US you have to be born there as well as be 35 yeas old to be president I believe. (youngest JFK at.. 42/43?)Unlike in the US Constitution, any Canadian citizen of legal age can run as your MP, and any MP can be chosen as PM, so country of birth is irrelevant within the Canadian political context.
I should say too that, regardless of economic platform, I'd rather a PM wiling to work with Parliament, one who is open to coalitions, as opposed to one who opposes working with parliament and is always playing a game of political brinkmanship.
That he be a man of charracter and tell me what he intends to do with my country, rather than spend his time attempting to slander opponents, while neglecting to tell me he has any plan whatsoever. Harper and Ignatieff's campaigns have been a real shame
Then vote for change vote NDP. I voted concervative in . Now am voting them out ! Democracy is having the ability to remove the person in power with the flick of a pen. Its one thing to overspend tax payers money but to be arragant about it and act like your gona win without even trying . Thats intorelable! Concervative need a lesson on Canadian intergrity.
Here here! Good point to raise. A lot of people just complain about the other guy and don't ever say what they think. They did this in Ottawa which is why there is an election in the first place. You sir, are not someone I would bother to listen to about politics. You're endemic of what I've found so sickening about this election.... spending more time slandering the policies you don't like, than talking about the policies you do support.
I am 18 and I can clearly remember 4 elections. That is an issue in my mind.I'm so tired of this election.

I'm 40. I can't remember all the elections that have come and gone, I clearly remember opposition parties forcing an election, in an unprecedented, underhanded way, causing this election, which seems to have bent the minds of people I clearly remember having a far better grasp on reality, before this election.I am 18 and I can clearly remember 4 elections. That is an issue in my mind.
I'm so tired of this election.
I've spent the better part of two weeks trying to dispel myth and bs after myth and bs. Now dolts are posting asinine pop videos as replies.Ditto. I'm fed up with the divisive bull****.
I was wondering when the Calais vote would speak up. Election dysfunction can happen to you.

A coalition on the other hand, does not have the approval or mandate of the people of Canada to tell the coalition on how they want to be governed. Therefore it turns out to be almost like a communist government running the country with no approval of the people of Canada. They run the country like dictators in the end.
