Tam:

I just want you to be at ease with questions and being inquisitive. Don't let anyone put you down for enquiring. I can prove without a doubt that the Church welcomes questions.

OK?:happy11:

AndyF.

Unfortunately I have the names of several Catholic churches that have tossed my cute derrier out for asking questions. But Im very very very content on my path now :) I feel whole again for the first time in 43 years. The past 5 years have been truely heaven minus Bri's Stroke and my son's death. But Im working through that too ;)

Good Morning Padre ;) The second I stopped thinking of you as the church and saw you as a man (a cute one at that) You became human. You became reachable. You became a mirror of me. Make sense?

hes really funny, and very easy to talk to. bet that surprises people cos of how allot of people here think of him. but since moving to windsor ive met with him a few times and been to his masses. hes one of the easiest people to talk to ive ever met. he listens, he advises and he is pretty cool.

sanctus:

Who am I to say that stepping into the streets is or isn't an option for a holy man of the cloth who represents Christ. It could be good for him to let loose the restraints of toleration and patience that his cloth demands so he can have is disrespectful way. But I begin to see now how the problems you related in earlier posts have become burdensome for you and on occasion it is a necessity to do so. Charming has this person is, I am more open to that somewhat holier personality that doesn't find the street comfortable.

AndyF

Don't judge people you've not met. Stepping into the streets is part of the "job". Frankly, I've come across more people with the spirit of Christ on the streets than in the pews.

I meant the Church is inclusive in the sense that it'll welcome anybody who comes to it sincerely, it doesn't exclude people on irrelevant grounds, like the group that excluded my mother essentially because her style of dress wasn't dowdy enough for some uptight elders.
But there is also an insistance to conform to the church...it's not all inclusive...everyone is welcome that is willing to conform. I mean, if you go in and challenge, or question...you are not exactly welcome...this is the overwhelming impression I have got. So, it isn't really inclusive from what I am seeing.

And being respectful is charity, and the essence of this thread. Nowhere before your last post did I show disrespect for you. I may not judge, but I can voice an objection in fraternal correction.

It is true, I am at a disadvantage being a lay Catholic and you being a priest and I am bound to show you respect out of your position. But I will say with all due respect your comment was rude and out of turn and you fool no one here with your disguise. "What comes out of their mouth" scripture tells us we will know them, and what comes out yours comes out of the latrine, and you know it.

Stay away from my posts, your a sham.

Forgive me for not living up to your expectations. Perhaps you are victim tot he cult that assumes pirests must behave a certain way? Have you gone to the streets, where the need is? That is the place to find those who really need the presence of Christ.
