Sorry, I misunderstood you. Yes, you're correct. I cannot believe that any religious body excluded your mother just because of how she dresses!! I know it happens, but it boggles my mind. As long as everything is decently covered, I could care less what anybody wears. I can't tell you the number of times I've got jeans and a t-shirt on under the robes:)


why would what someone wears matter as long as they are clean and going to church? i mean, it is so hard to get people to go most of the time youd think people would be happy to see them ! i generally wear clean jeans and a nice top myself, and i dont think anybody has ever said anything about it. most of the teens go to mass like that anyway.

It's a sign of respect for God. I hate that so many people attend Mass dressed like bums. To me it shows dis-respect of the highest order. If I was a priest I wouldn't give communion to people in jeans.

that kind of comment in a thread on love of our neighbours from mr levesque. Big surprise. I suppose all those you consider to be your neighbours are well-dressed and catholic. What a horrible attitude
