Lobbyist Claims Monsanto’s Roundup Is Safe To Drink, Freaks Out When Offered A Glass

SM Gibson

(ANTIMEDIA) French television station Canal+ recently sat down with Dr. Patrick Moore for an upcoming documentary. Dr. Moore, who claims to be an ecological expert and is currently the frontman for Ecosense Environmental, stated to the interviewer that Monsanto’s weed killer Roundup was not responsible for skyrocketing cancer rates in Argentina.
This claim comes on the heels of last week’s World Health Organization report citing the weed killer as a probable cause of cancer.

Soon after the interview began, it took a turn for the surreal.
Dr. Moore insisted that Roundup is safe to drink, at which point the interviewer did the only logical thing one could do in that situation. He offered the doctor a glass of the weed killer to allow him an opportunity to back up his statement. The following is the text from that exchange.

years ago, I was working building a golf course and we had this one thickheaded no it's all superintendent that claimed he would drink Roundup.

One day after 10 hours under the hot sun we were sitting around drinking a few beers and I poured him a glass.

he walked away, and never opened his mouth again about it

Forbes? Really? Pro business (no matter what) Forbes? Patric Moore is not an environmentalist. He sold out decades ago and is now a shill for logging, whaling or any other business that pays him to shill for them.

BTW Glacier, I believe I may know you from somewhere else, right?

Have you ever eaten Oatmeal Cliffy? Are you smart enough to know what i mean? BTW, why are you not picking on Carbine or any of the other weed killers?

I am over 70 years old and have sat on a tractor seat, no mask, with clouds of roundup and numerous other herbicides billowing around me for hundreds of hours. I am fine.
Where i lived they say it had been in the soil for years, probably in my well also according to Cliffy and his BS buddies. Neither i nor any of my neighbors got ill over a 30 year period that i am aware of. It is easy to make allegations, tougher to prove them.
Kinda reminds me of being in Fort Mac in the mid 60's with GCOS, One day we were told they had dozed a road into Fort MCay, perfect! The MCay river had Walleye (aka Pickeral) by the ton so we grabbed our rods and headed there pronto.

A bit of a shock when we got there, we instantly were surrounded by kids, not too close cause they were nervous and afraid mostly. You see, many of them had never seen a car and the old 56 Buick we rode in was quite an adventure to them.
We caught a load of Walleye and also numerous Pike then decided to go for a swim when the day got hot after the rainy morning. The swim was good but i soon found oil on my body and was told that it came from the sand banks along the river after every rain. Little blobs of oil sand floating along in the little river.
It did not harm the fish, the natives drank from that river. Suzuki did not tell ya that did he?

Don;t believe me though, keep up on your thought process and have a good day.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Hyperbole meets reality, but Patrick Moore is not a lobbyist. He's Not A Monsanto Lobbyist, And Weed Killer Isn't Safe To Drink - Forbes

Two wrongs don't make a right but three lefts do. I hope he's not a lobbyist. If he is, whoever is paying should ask for thier money back. What teh hell did he expect the interviewer to do after announcing that it's safe to drink. Of course he's gonna pour a glass. Then he has a hissy and storms off the set. Didn't really do his client many favours there, did he? What a frickin tool.
