Thank you.
Glad you took it that way. I meant both as compliments.

I forgot there is a vast majority of CDN pot smokers that smoke indoor produced weed and have the audacity to bitch about emissions.

Weird and hypocritical.
Not really. People who assert that one cannot seek to cut down emissions unless one is 100% emission-free are merely revealing the bankruptcy of their intellects.

Smoking indoor weed ranks right up there with burning tires to heat your home all the while complaining about oil companies.

Let me preface this response by saying that I support legalizing marijuana. Now to my response.

Every day, our kids turn to dealers, gangs and criminals to buy marijuana, putting them in harm’s way. For them, buying marijuana is often easier than cigarettes.

Oh my god! Won't anyone think of the children!

In fact, an April 2013 United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) study found that at 28 percent, Canada leads the developed world in cannabis use among teenagers.

See response above.

This is a shocking statistic. And it clearly demonstrates how the Conservative government’s continued prohibition of the substance is failing to keep pot out of the hands of Canadian youth.
And legalizing it will definitely double that effort. Good grief.

The Liberal solution is clear: If we pass smart laws that tax and strictly regulate marijuana, we can better protect our kids, while preventing millions of dollars from going into the pockets of criminal organizations and street gangs.

Better protect our kids. Give me a fooking break. I used to buy pot from a dealer. His name was Sid and he wore a plaid jacket aand cut off jean vest and smoked way too much pot. He wasn't a cartel member.

It’s a position that even the New York Times is calling for in the United states.

Well if the New York Times says so... 8)

Seven months after Colorado moved to regulate and tax the substance, marijuana prosecutions are down 77 percent, burglaries and robberies are down from a year ago, and the state has collected $23.6 million in revenue from taxes, licenses and fees.
The status quo isn’t working. Let’s keep marijuana out of our kids’ hands. Sign and share this petition if you agree.

So, it's those mad kids that are perpetrating those burgles and robbies eh. Must be the reefer madness.

If you need more information before pledging your support for this innovative policy, please read this blog post by Liberal Justice Critic Sean Casey.

If Sean Casey is saying half this sh!t, he's a retard or stoned. Or both.

Anyone else think it's funny that the one piece of connective tissue between the Libs and Cons is pot?

Strictly regulating it and taxing it won't kill the black market. If a 15 year old has to spend $25 and fill out forms at the authorized retailer and can spend $15 no questions ask from Harry down the street, which will he do?

If they made pot legal, even for kids, they'd stop smoking it. How can you rebel against your parents and against authority if its legal?

Underage kids can still get booze - even though it's regulated and controlled.

Weed costs bugger all to grow. The biggest part of its street price is dealer mark-up based on risk and availability. I say retail it through Liquor Control or similar outlets with the same age restrictions. It can be taxed, quality is stabilized and organized crime makes no profit.

Kids will still get it. They're wilier than you think.

For anyone interested, there's a Part 2 too....

This is for Trudeau jr. Something his father left undone. Just like Irak for the Bush.

First off, I'm totally in favor of ending pot prohibition. I think in many ways it is a safer recreational drug than alcohol, mostly because stoned people are not as aggressive or brave as drunk people are. I believe if more people use pot instead of alcohol, the incidents of impaired driving and violent crime would decrease. I would not begin to guess the effect on sex crimes statistically, though.
TBS, the notion that legalizing it and regulating it will keep it out of the hands of kids is pure bull. The kids that want it will get it, probably from parents that smoke it often and don't see any harm. Truth is, it's bad for young people that use too much because it hinders brain development and social skills. Best answer there is to get rid of the curiosity factor, let them try it, but let them know what can happen if they abuse it with education and positive social additudes.
