:roll: wow......I'm replying to the statement that hitler and the axis were responsible for so many innocent civilian deaths. I know what the axis powers did, I also know that the Allies didn't have clean hands either and are equally culpable. Something many of you are unwilling to acknowledge or accept. When it comes to civilian deaths by the allies, it was unfortunate but necessary, is what I get. I say no to all of it. All of it was unnecessary and unfortunate does not come close to covering it.
You and your buddies want to go galavanting around the world killing others like you, have at it. Leave the innocents the fu ck alone. Leave the "civilians" alone. Go have your testosterone fueled fit far from those that don't share your need to kill.
I doubt I'd get such a silly reply if I'd said I hate Anglicans or Christians in general. In fact I'd probably get inundated with green plusses, as the loony Tecumsehbones does on one of his periodic anti-Protestant rants. It's obviously less un-PC to attack Anglicans (and Jews, maybe) as it is to attack Catholics and Muzzies. And the hilarious irony is that you have probably celebrated the anti-Catholic Guy Fawkes Night many, many times.
I don't necessarily agree with the war tactics on either side but I was minus 4 when the war started, so didn't have much say. You should read some history Gerry and you'd know Hitler was planning and arming since 1933 - 3 years before Churchill even got wind of it, so put the blame where it's due.

for blackleaf the terminally stupid, Guy Fawkes day/night is not officially celebrated in Canada. Hasn't been for my entire life as far as I can remember, but then again, why would we celebrate a failed attempt. If he had succeeded, that would be a different story entirely and I would be calling for a week long celebration at least.
Wrong again- I do not celebrate hate- I find it repugnant. My parents taught the 3 of us about hate- what it causes.

On Nov. 11th. I am not thinking about war because it is about the veterans. As far as I am concerned wearing a white poppy is purely political and disrespects the veterans. Can't we a least give them one day a year where they are remembered and honored!
