That's why fish farms should be on land in tanks instead of pens in the ocean where they can contaminate the rest of the species
Can't hear you. Speak up.

Testing in the US by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has found no evidence of the virus. They checked sockeye, chum, coho, chinook, steelhead, and some farmed Atlantic in the state. No virus found.

That's good news, and more validation that Morton's results were in fact false.
Ahh, crap. Now what am I going to be scared of?

CFIA has the results of a two year study up on a website, and you can request the full report here:
2012 ? 2013 Status Update on the Surveillance of Wild and Enhanced Anadromous Salmonids in British Columbia - Animals - Canadian Food Inspection Agency

The two year investigation took samples of steelhead trout and chinook, pink, chum, coho, and sockeye salmon, in total over 8000 samples. All samples were tested for ISA, over 6700 were tested for infectious pancreatic necrosis virus, and over 1200 were tested for infectious haematopoietic virus. IPN virus and ISA virus are native to Atlantic salmon, while IHN is native to Pacific salmonids. Additionally, they reviewed the existing surveillance data from fish farms.

The results were all negative. Collaborators in the investigation included DFO, commercial fishing companies, first nations groups, and environmental NGOs.

As always, Morton and her group of cultists have been proved wrong. There is no evidence of imported disease in BC salmonids or farmed Atlantic salmon.

I am very glad that Morton and her group were proven to be idiots. We needed that but everyone will forget until the next BS artist shows up.
