I would definitely vote for Leo over Trump.

Leonardo DiCaprio attacks Republican presidential candidates on climate change

Leonardo DiCaprio used a Japanese press conference for the Oscar-winning western The Revenant to launch a thinly veiled attack on Donald Trump and other Republican candidates for the US presidency who deny climate change, reports AFP.

The actor and environmentalist, in Tokyo to promote the local release of Alejandro G Iñárritu’s 19th century frontier epic, said the next leader of the world’s most powerful nation should not be someone who refused to listen to reason.

“We should not have a candidate who doesn’t believe in modern science to be leading our country,” he said. “Climate change is one of the most concerning issues facing all humanity and the United States needs to do its part.”

It's kinda sad that you guys will be shackled to a life a hopeless bickering.

But I'm sure the PCs will bail you out, now that they also support carbon reductions lol

Remind me why I should care what Lenny the Goat thinks about climate change.

Is it his sterling scientific credentials?

Is it his careful investigative journalistic work?

Is it his long record of leadership in major political and social causes?

No?

Must be the Oscar, then.

It's the perk of being the leader of such a movement. You don't have to do as your advocating.

A hundred bucks says the carbon footprint of his last movie coulda been reduced by 50% if the producers had adopted sound, environmentally-friendly, energy-saving practices.

But it would have ballooned the cost, and then Di Caprio would have been to expensive.

Nah, I'm just talking about reasonable measures. Solar power when possible. Using natural light where possible. Not providing gas-guzzling trailers and leaving them running 24/7. Getting food from local grocery stores instead of catering.

The only good bit of acting Crappio did was in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" where he played a mentally challenged child. Although I'm not sure how much he was acting for the role. Now because he's some two bit actor he thinks the world should listen to him?

Society puts entertainers on a pedestal and that immediately qualifies them as experts on every fukking thing under the sun.

I am not sure what anybody cares about what some actor thinks. He is just an actor.

if the word actor stops you from seeing this man, and who he is, and how badly we 'all' need people like
him to 'step up', like he does, then give your head a shake.

and he is right, the republicans don't give a flying buffalo chip about climate and our environment,
a very important issue in the world right now, and forever in the future, we all need people out
there who want to care for our earth and our future generations of life on earth.
