I agree with you. There is a lot of talk, a lot of finger wagging, a lot of conversations... but at the end of the day no country is really concerned.
California Gov. Jerry Brown had all kinds of criticism at the President for pulling out of the Paris Agreement. He was hailed as a hero here in the US among the Econuts. However when he went to the Climate Summit in Bonn last year he was loudly BOOED. Why? Because California is third largest producer of oil and gas in the US. There are oil rigs right in Los Angeles! Not only is California drilling they are chest deep in the fracking business. To add to this, there are no plans to curtail fossil fuel extraction in California.
Canada has the right approach... just talk a good game.
To be fair California has a lot of idle rich with big cars. They need homegrown oil.

Immigration minister hails UN pact as ‘important milestone’ in global migration

A United Nations pact to be signed Monday will help promote “safe, orderly and regular” migration and the sharing of best practices in addressing the global refugee crisis, says federal Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen.

Migration is a global reality and it makes sense to have a global approach. We are hopeful all (refugee) source countries, transition countries and destination countries could benefit from this framework and work together for safe, orderly and regular migration.”

No consultation with Canadians, no discussion, just quietly and intentionally hide it from view then deceitfully ram it through before anyone can debate or consult...the hell with the people. After all, we are a post-national state with no core identity...right??...right??

No core identity means no voice, we don't need one with Trudeau in charge. After all, he knows what's best for all of us, just ask him.

Disgusting abuse of power and Liberal arrogance is an understatement.
I'm sure all those economic migrants will now stop jumping in their leaky boats to flee their countries. As if.

Nah...but the UN gives the thumbs up to start rowing. And it will be orderly chaos, dictated by "internationally recognized best practices".

Of course they do. They talk the talk because it provides them cover for their massive carbon foot prints and they're wasteful lifestyles.
