KFC in Canada has gone WOKE

We (myself and the other guy who worked the night shift with that two week stretch, 7pm-7am) hit a Subway stuffed into the back of a Gas Station/Store in Outlook SK about 10:15am or soā¦After gathering our gear from camp on the shore of the North Saskatchewan River south of Lloydminster.
Couldnāt get an actual submarine sandwich with actual submarine sandwich ingredientsā¦because it wasnāt 10:30 AM yet so still on their breakfast menu. Had to order ābreakfastā subsā¦& I canāt tell you what else was on there but for years I couldnāt eat either scrambled eggs or spinach leaves after that.
The first and last time I ever ate eggs that were microwaved from frozen sheets of eggs (you canāt make this craziness up) by an East Indian man in a gas station at a Prairie version of the quickie mart. By the time we hit Davidson on the #11 I knew I was in trouble. Uh-ohā¦gurgle gurgleā¦
Kept it together until I was back in my own truck more than an hour later, & on the back roads between Lumsden and Regina (between exits A & B in behind Condie for the locals) I was in the full metal squat beside my truck holding onto the drivers door and headrest of my seat with my pants around my ankles, firing out breakfast submarine from both ends Wondering if I had the wherewithal to make it to my home in Regina in my own bathroom. Good timesā¦
Harvey (my coworker) suffered no effect whatsoever, which makes me think it wasnāt the microwave sheets of eggs, and perhaps the spinach leaves or whatever I had that he didnāt. I think I had just completed an 11 day stretch of night shifts in a gravel pit, then I did a three day stretch in my bathroom, then commuted back to the same hole in the ground for a five day stretch of night-shifts.
I have no idea why the east Indian Indians would be pissed at all.Funny that the East Indians are pissed the most, they don't eat HALAL
I was thinking about that same movie, but he wanted breakfast on the lunch menu instead of lunch on the breakfast menu. That was an awesome show!!!
I don't remember much about the show but I think this was about the 30th thing that had gone wrong for him that day.
Absolutely awesome show!! I seem to watch it once every two or three years now. The older I get the more I can empathize with that character.
Well, I guess that averages to fresh, ripe, and tasty. . .

A Brampton man has started a petition to get KFC to reconsider going halal meat first in Ontario (except for Ottawa and Thuder Bay) in May and the rest of Canada by the end of the year. Photo by Change.org
A Brampton resident has launched a Change.org petition urging KFC to reverse its decision to serve exclusively halal meat eventually in all of Canada.
Roop Sandhu says the policy ā which the company announced in a memo to franchisees in May for Ontario (except Thunder Bay and Ottawa) with a plan to roll it out nationwide by yearās end ā dismisses the dietary preferences of religious communities which prohibit the consumption of halal meat.
āI, as a Canadian feel marginalized by the decision of KFC to serve exclusively halal meat,ā wrote Sandhu, who started the petition on July 15 and so far has 82 signatures as of Tuesday mid-day.
āA lot of Canadians including Indian religious groups like Sikhism and Hinduism, prohibit the consumption of halal meat. This seemingly small decision inadvertently dismisses the dietary preferences and religious sentiments of large communities, making us feel excluded.ā
Sandhu emphasizes heās not questioning the significance of halal meat in Islam but wants to ensure āthe dietary preferences of all individuals are recognized and respected.ā
āServing exclusively halal meat disregards the dietary requirements of a substantial minority. We recognize and respect the significance of halal meat in Islam and categorically affirm this is not about questioning those values,ā wrote Sandhu.
āWe therefore urge KFC Canada to reconsider its decision and instead offer a variety of meat options that cater to different dietary preferences and religious requirements. Join us in standing up for inclusivity and respect for all religious dietary restrictionsā
The switch to a menu that caters to Muslim dietary restrictions means KFC franchises will have to ensure that all chicken products are halal certified and not sell products that include bacon, unless they are joint KFC-Taco Bell locations.
Fast-food chains like Popeyes and Mary Brownās already offer halal chicken in most locations.
Halal is Arabic for āpermissibleā under Islamic law according to the Canadian Halal Food Certifying Agency, which says food products are not halal if they have āgone through improper slaughtering processes.ā
Repeated attempts to ask KFC about the policy change back in July went unanswered and another query about the policy and petition werenāt immediately responded to on Tuesday.

KD, the maker of the well-known mac and cheese, has partnered with the popular chicken restaurant.
Beginning Monday, KFC restaurants will offer two new items: The KD Mac & Cheese Chicken Sandwich ā triple-breaded chicken served with a pile of KD on top ā and The KD Mac & Cheese Snacker Wrap, chicken tenders and KD loaded into a warm tortilla.
You can also head to grocery store aisles and grab the limited-edition KD KFC Original Recipe Flavour Mac ān Cheese, the classic boxed macaroni but seasoned with the Colonelās secret blend of 11 herbs and spices.
Full disclosure, we had the opportunity to try the KD, and it is the perfect combination of that childhood favourite dish and KFCās savoury chicken.
The menu items are available in Canada for a limited time.
