The problem I find with immigration is not the people we let in. The problem comes
when these people can bring their whole family here to be with them. We should
allow certain people to come but it should not mean the entire family is automatically
entitled to apply. Each person should be allowed based on individual merit.
Yes I think immigration is a good thing but we have to be more aware of who we are
letting into the country. People don't have to have the same belief system we do as
citizens already or born here. But the people we let in should not be here when their
belief system undermines the goals and objectives of our country like the idea of
democracy itself.
No I am not saying we shouldn't allow say, Muslims to come here, that is not my point.
I am saying we should not allow fundamentalist Muslims or others that would not be in
keeping with the democratic system itself. Moderates and those who understand
that we are not going to just give in on all things like we seem to be doing now. If you
come here, you have to be a loyal system and believe in the democratic way of life.
That is not always the case and it should be.
Cutting immigration is not the answer, having tighter controls on who gets in and having
some knowledge of how to detect those who should not be allowed in.

Cutting the number of fundamentalist Muslim immigrants is undemocratic? Maybe, but then public safety is important too. Canada won't suffer with less Muslims in the country, not at all.

Even letting in Ukrainians to farm in western Canada sowed the seeds for multiculturalism as they lobbied long and successfully for it. Did Ukrainians make Canada? I don't think so. Yet, now multiculturalsim is part of the constitiition. Canada was British pre1867, then we became multicultural, and just being Canadian got lost in the shuffle. All immigrants have an impact.

Something like that could really muddle up a fella's train of rational thought huh?
That explains your posts to a T.

What exactly does a fundamentalist Muslim look like?

Thankfully you didn't bring up education again. Given the glaring spelling errors in your posts.
