I thought they were fighting to stomp the sh*t out of Germany and Japan.
Can you fill me in on where either country threatened the right of Canadians to vote?
Well, there is a food truck in Moncton that is suspicious looking

Damned clever, those Huns!Well, there is a food truck in Moncton that is suspicious looking
Many thousands of people died in a couple world wars for our right to vote...among other things.
Of the countries taken over by Germany or japan, were their elections effected?I thought they were fighting to stomp the sh*t out of Germany and Japan.
Can you fill me in on where either country threatened the right of Canadians to vote?
They certainly were.Of the countries taken over by Germany or japan, were their elections effected?
They certainly were.
Could you point me to your source on Germany or Japan ever attempting, or even expressing the intention, to take over Canada?
I repeat my question.Battle of the St. Lawrence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_St._Lawrence
The Battle of the St. Lawrence involved marine and anti-submarine actions throughout the lower St. Lawrence River and the entire Gulf of Saint ... During this time, German U-boats sank several merchant ships and three Canadian warships.
Historical context - Spring 1942 - Summer 1942 - Fall 1942
I repeat my question.
OK, so could you explain then how Germany was going to deprive Canadians of the right to vote?I don't think the Germans ever had any intention of taking over Canada....the supply lines were too long.
OK, so could you explain then how Germany was going to deprive Canadians of the right to vote?
Yes, because Germany, as you say, took over Poland. Now you say Germany never intended to take over Canada. So, please explain how Germany was going to deprive Canadians of the right to vote without taking over Canada.Hold on here. Germany certainly deprived other countries the right to vote......start with Poland. You don't need me to do your research.
Hitler's lunacy took him all sorts of places. I have no doubt that had he been successful taking over Canada, our voting rights would have been seriously threatened.Yes, because Germany, as you say, took over Poland. Or are you saying that thousands died for the right of Canadians to vote in Poland?
So, you're claiming that thousands died to forestall the off-chance that Hitler might decide to invade Canada, something neither he nor any other German official ever expressed the intention to do, and with the benefit of history, we see that the Nazis never intended to do?Hitler's lunacy took him all sorts of places. You're being obtuse. So, you're claiming that thousands died to forestall the off-chance that Hitler might decide to invade Canada, something neither he nor any other German official ever expressed the intention to do, and with the benefit of history, we see that the Nazis never intended to do?
You're being obtuse.
If you're not going to vote, why have an election? If you don't vote, you can't complain.
Perhaps that is the solution. When you vote you get a complainers license good until the next election. If you are caught complaining without a license, you get fined.
Because thousands didn't die for free speech.Perhaps that is the solution. When you vote you get a complainers license good until the next election. If you are caught complaining without a license, you get fined.
