this isn't out of the blue, it is a recent headline, re: the indictment, hadn't noticed anything new about Newt.

the only thing political about this thread, is that the monies he used belonged
to the campaign funds.

The story was 1st reported by that paper of ill repute - The National Enquirer - It did not travel far - but they kept at it and nailed him.

Now I do not know what the penalty can be but i read that he can take a plea - lose his license for practicing law but I am sure he is not a poor boy.

Now If I was the AG - Under a clean administration I would hunt him, no plea and let the judge decide.

Lawyers with no moral compass could not care less about getting disbarred, as long as they can keep their sorry butts out of prison.

The most famous of them all is the one who did not have sexual relations with that woman.

I doubt if they'd want to jeopardize their meal ticket! Are you talking about the one who said "read my lips, I did not have sexual relations with that woman"? :lol:

I do think Edwards is scum and I think the fact that on her death bed Elizabeth Edwards wanted her family around her EXCEPT him, speaks volumes about how she felt about his actions. I also think Newt Gingrich is scum too: like Retired_Can_Soldiersaid, its not about politics but actions and karma.
