He's is more of a leftard than Miller. He's a digrace who lived in public housing even while a city councilor. He'll beat the cancer; it's one of the most survivable. His father, a former Mulroney cabinet minister, must think his son is a moron for being a dipper.

Public housing is mixed with market housing. You being in the uncivil service should know that so you must be just a common moron.

So he lived in public housing.....what's your point?

Go ahead, respond and get owned again, like you always do.

I think the guy is an idiot.

But I do hope he beats this....I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy.

Not sure why your first comment was called for?

When a guy gets sick peoples true colors show.

"I wish him the very best inn his battle with cancer,...."

Maybe, for reliable and best results, he should follow Danny William's example.

I know how Housing authorities work. Do you have a rent receipt showing HIS rent was subsidized?... Do you know if he just chose to live in an authority-sponsored development - you know - out among the riff-raff like elitists would never dream of?

Can you produce receipts?

"Reasons Jack Layton might be annoying: was living in Toronto subsidized housing while earning $120,000 a year with his wife;"
I'm guessing that Ms. Gravenor is more aware of the realities as opposed to one that needs to rely solely on speculation in order to support a position.

I think Wally is implying that because he lived in public housing or market housing or whatever, he is somewhat less of a human being for that. Unfortunately for Wally, when he tilts this head to look down his nose at someone else, a few more brain cells leak out of the holes in his head. lol

The "point" is that subsidized housing isn't intended for those that are making 6 figures per year.
You know this for a fact?
In late 1980s Jack Layton was a market rent member of the Hazelburn Co-op. As a University Professor and Town Councilor, he would be great public character to help sustain a healthy community. By living in a co-op, Jack Layton gave up the chance to build housing equity, and made voluntary community service an inherent part of his private life.
His political opponents learned this, and preying on public ignorance of the facts, he
a) is falsely accused of receiving a government housing subsidy
b)is falsely accused of occupying an apartment that could have gone to a needy family
c)was subjected to public pressure, including street-protesters at the co-op, until he and his family moved out
d)even 19 years after he was cleared of any wrongdoing in 1990, continues to be the victim of a slanderous whisper campaign, based on a) and b).
NDP Richmond Hill Riding Association-Federal

I wasn't aware that Uni profs made 6 figure incomes back then.

Anyway, here's more:

I don't like the guy either.
Anyway, it was market rate housing, not subsidized housing.
