MAGA....

We a truly seeing the real culture of America........not the one they promote for public consumption.

Harris will survive this onslaught. I think she is as prepared as one can be for the Bull crap that is US politics. It is just so sad that they are so uncivilized. in their attitudes and prejudices. It is hard to think of another country (except for the backward ones ) where politics have descended into bottom feeder levels. Thy have lost their civility and even some of their humanity.
Yes but you believed in Trump and pee pee tapes .

Oh Look, another strong woman, I wonder who she slept with to get where she is.
On the other hand I know who the guy she's interviewing slept with to get where he is.

Extramarital affair with Kamala Harris? Former San Francisco mayor, 84, admits it happened

Appointed her to 2 high level commissions right out of college and to the right financial backers, supported her for her ADA position, but no way she traded favors to get where she is, riiight

Keep up:

Brown was married at the time he and Harris dated yes, technically but what you're not mentioning is that he had been estranged from his wife for some time and so his and Harris's relationship, which took place in '94 to '95, was in the open.

And right out of college? By right out of college do you mean eight years after she graduated from Howard university in 1986, earning a degree in political science and economics? And do you mean in 1989, five years after she graduated from U of C earning her Juris Doctorate degree? Strange how that could have happened since they didn't even meet until 1994. And further, do you mean four years after she had already been hired as ADA in Alameda County in 1990 where she was being referred to as an able prosecutor on her way up?

And supported her ADA position? By supporting her are you talking about how it was Brown who wanted to keep their relationship in the public eye by making a $500.00 donation to her 2003 campaign while Harris distanced herself from him after she broke off the relationship in 1995, and who, without input or consent from Harris’s team, had a consultant who had worked on his own mayoral campaigns send out a fundraising letter on her behalf, carrying Brown's name? Is that what you're referring to? Because I think you left out a few details that paint the picture in a little different way.

But yes, by all means, let's diminish all of her achievements because she had a relationship with one specific man, decades ago.

It's more a case of cherry picking and creative editing of the facts.

A trumpian has no right to judge anyone els's relationship.s They have Donald as their "moral' and "ethical"standard.

furthermore..........totally irreverent. What matters is her accomplishments, and her qualifications/ experience. .

Its that old double standard rearing its ugly head again.

Iti s the COMPETENCE that matters........not their personal life.

Yeah the "whatabouitism" could really go into overdrive here, I mean one could easily speak of Trump and his many marital flip flops and numerous affairs with porn stars and Playboy bunnies and the fact that he has five children with three different wives and that he has been accused of sexual assault and rape. But lets face it, most male Trump supporters admire this about him. They think it makes him a man and has it nothing to do with his character because to them women are just things that serve but one purpose.

exactly. This is what I mean about trump being the Trumpian "gold standard" (sarcasm) of behavior.........

If his personal behavior is no problem........ then they can't complain about anyone esles. Of course the MCP's will anyhow. But those kind of chauvinistic comments are ending up being hollow .

If you want to be in politics you have to have thick skin, otherwise stay at home and look after the garden

Oh they've been hollow for quite some time, it's an antiquated way of thinking that a few stragglers desperately grasp to in order to make themselves feel all manly. My guess is it makes them feel better about themselves because something in them is missing or broken.

Speaking of chauvinistic comments, when pgs flippantly made the comment barefoot and pregnant it brought to mind my husbands current surgeon. I think I've mentioned it here before but my husband is recovering from a successful (thankfully) fight with cancer and his surgeon was/is (he remains under her care) a young woman from Montreal who had a child just a couple months after my husbands surgery. I have a photo of them together that I captured just before he went into the OR as I was documenting his fight with cancer. In the photo she was about 7 months pregnant, standing there in her scrubs. And the photo popped into my head when I read pgs's demeaning, sexist comment that here's a woman who is literally, through her dedication to her education and her position as a surgeon specializing in colon cancer, saving peoples lives on a daily basis yet some would still see fit to demean her pregnancy. It is so troubling that attitudes like his are still out there about women.

There comes a point at which repeating lies makes you a liar, and the "I didn't know it was a lie" loses its value as a defense. Moosie passed that point a couple years back.
