We've 1 rain in 2.5 months. In the 20 odd years of living Vancouver over 5 decades I've never seen it this dry. It was fantastic for winter but not so good now.
Wow
And we used to call it "the wet coast".

Although I don't recall it being all that wet when I was there in the mid-70s except for the winter time when it was raining instead of snowing. But in December 1972 Vancouver got 3 inches of snow and it pretty much shut the city down. Since they only had like three snow plows to do the entire GVA.

Tjis was the first winter in ages without a snofall. I've seen 3 ft of snow here more than once and I've experienced -25C for two weeks that almost froze the Fraser over. Ive heard the three plow myth a few times but it's BS, plowing is contracted out and every city and municipality (all 19) do their own salting.

Ill do some photo digging....

I remember the 1972 snowfall , was drinking with a perspective girlfriend downtown at the Georgia I believe . We left and I made a mistake at Kingsway and Victoria . We walked home and I went back the next day and picked up the car . And no I didn’t get lucky .
