“The Kuwaiti Government has asked would-be migrants from the five banned nations not to apply for visas, as Kuwait City is worried about the possible migration of radical Islamic terrorists.”

But the U.S. is not allowed to have a similar concern. That would be racist! Islamophobic! Hateful!

This action by the Kuwaiti government neatly reveals the absurdity of such objections.

“Kuwait imposes visa ban on five Muslim-majority nations including Pak,” ANI, February 2, 2017:
Following the Muslim ban in the U.S., Kuwait has now suspended the issuance of visas for travellers native to Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.

Tourism, trade, and visitor visas from the above mentioned nations have been restricted following an order from the Kuwaiti Government to slap a “blanket ban” on possible migrants, according to Sputnik News.

The Kuwaiti Government has asked would-be migrants from the five banned nations not to apply for visas, as Kuwait City is worried about the possible migration of radical Islamic terrorists.

A group of militants bombed a Shia mosque in 2015, killing 27 Kuwaiti nationals….

They just don't want any poor people coming in. You know, unless they're third world country laborers that work dirt cheap.

Sorry for bringing reality into this, I know you were just making a sideways justification of President Bannons Muslim ban.

Kuwait denies it imposed a travel ban

Kuwait has denied a media report which said it had imposed a travel ban on citizens from several Muslim-majority countries, a story which U.S. President Donald Trump praised on Facebook.

"Smart!" a post on Trump's official Facebook page said on Thursday, linking to a report on Jordanian news website Al Bawaba which alleged that Kuwait had "mirrored" a decision by the Trump administration to temporarily bar travelers from several countries.

The article alleged that "Syrians, Iraqis, Iranians, Pakistanis and Afghans" would not be allowed to enter the Gulf state "while the blanket ban is in place".

But Kuwait's foreign ministry refuted the report, which was widely picked up by news websites popular with Trump supporters including Breitbart, Infowars and Sputnik.

Kuwait "categorically denies these claims and affirms that these reported nationalities ... have big communities in Kuwait and enjoy full rights," a ministry spokesman was quoted as saying on state news agency KUNA on Friday.

Muslim ban? So temporarily suspending travel from 7 countries (5 of which had their travel to the US suspended in 2011 by Obama) when there are something like 50 Muslim majority countries, the 5 largest of which aren't anywhere near the list of 7 and affects about 12% of the Muslim population, is a "Muslim ban"?
Were your panties all bunched up when Obama instituted a temporary travel ban on 5 of those countries in 2011? Did you complain about it then? Did you call it a Muslim ban then?
Funny how no federal judges were getting involved then and ruling the temporary ban unconstitutional. I guess it's only unconstitutional and "racist" when the side you don't like does it, right?

I wonder though, are Kuwaitis Islamophobic now? Or are they okay because they only suspended travel from 5 countries, not 7.

There is a difference, of course, which Locutus conveniently ignores, and that is unlike the Dumpster's ban Kuwait's has nothing to do with religion. Despite the Dumpster's denials it is obvious from the numerous anti-Muslim comments he has made in the last year or so that his ban is based primarily on religion and not on any real security concerns. If terrorist activity was the main concern then Pakistan should certainly be on the list. Why isn't it? Perhaps because the Dumpster received a congratulatory phone call from Pakistan's Prime Minister.

Yeah, unlike the MSM who just loves to print unsubstantiated reports of "hate crimes". No other witnesses, no police report, no evidence of any kind anything happened other than the alleged "victim's" word, but the media still runs the story with the inevitable headline screaming something about a hate crime or Islamophobia or some sh*t. Which then stirs up the affected communities helping to propagate the "us vs them" narrative. And yet when the "hate crime" turns out to be a hoax, those same media outlets sure aren't tripping over themselves to apologize to the affected communities for making them think this is a much bigger problem than it is.

The MSM is just as bad with pushing the OBLM narrative. Cops are the least of the problem when it comes to who's killing Black people in the US. The simple fact is, police kill White people, Black people, Brown people, Hispanic and Latino people, sometimes unjustifiably. It's ALL of our problem when they do, not just Black people.

I just find it funny that people who complain the most about fake news never seem to have a problem with irresponsible journalism (and these days, the term journalism has to be used very lightly) from the MSM. They decry Fox News while utterly failing to realize that CNN is just Fox News for democrats who are too stupid to understand they're just as stupid as Fox News viewers. They don't want news, they want confirmation bias.

The media for the most part is manipulating everyone, or at least trying to. It's got people and federal judges so f*cking worked up about the current temporary travel ban that it has caused mass amnesia in them, as they seem to have completely forgotten a similar ban in 2011. I'll give you moment to let you figure out who was President then. The list was then deactivated later in the year. The list was then reactivated in 2015 ,and again, I'll let you figure out who was President then. The reason it was reactivated was because the initial 5 countries were still showing an unwillingness to fully cooperate with the vetting process of migrants and refugees.
So basically when a Black guy temporarily bans travel from a list of countries full of Brown people, he's looking out for his country's best interests. But when a White guy imposes the exact same ban on those plus two more countries, he's an Islamophobic, racist nazi.
So uh, I guess when Republican supporters were calling Obama a nazi or Hitler, they were right, right?

from the comments:

"Noemi A Reyes says

Foreign Minister Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah issued this statement in response to Trump’s fake news: “Kuwait categorically denies these claims and affirms that these reported nationalities…have big communities in Kuwait and enjoy full rights. The State of Kuwait believes that granting of visa [sic] is a sovereign matter, and is not linked to terrorism or violence or nationality or faith.”

ah..
state sponsored fake news from the globalists' little friends in Kuwait

I wonder if the Bushes, and the Clintons still have friends there after destroying Iraq so the Kuwaitis could slant drill under the border and steal all that oil

dig a little deeper and:

"Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah

Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah (born 3 March 1953) is a Kuwaiti diplomat and politician, who has been serving in different ministerial posts since 2006. In addition, he is a senior member of the ruling family of Kuwait, the Sabah family.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabah_Al-Khalid_Al-Sabah

TEHRAN – The spokesman for the Iranian administration has said it is the right of the Iranian nation and government to take reciprocal measures against U.S. President Donald Trump’s order to bar citizens of seven countries, including Iran, from entering the U.S.
http://www.tehrantimes.com/news/410650/Iran-reserves-right-to-reciprocate-U-S-travel-ban

if you google "Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah issues ban" the google contraction makes it appear that the Kuwaiti foreign minister issued a statement in support of this Iranian statement

so, not exactly fake news
over eager reporting is more like it

as opposed the ACTUAL CNN and WAPO and nazi supporter soro's funded "purposely generated for purposes of sedition" fake news

I don't know why Trump's people are tip toeing around the fact that it's a ban on the countries whose Muslim Sects don't align with Saudi Arabia's.

Maybe they are doing so because he promised a "total and complete shutdown on Muslims entering the US" and he's hoping the hee haws don't notice he has left out the worst one.....

Look here turkey neck. Ye got no right calling anyone paranoid. Ye worry that your shadow is a Lib.

fortunately all I 'worry' about is how to quietly make another $300 today, whether the wife has had a seizure-free epileptic day and what's for supper.

oh, and if she watches an idiot 'makeful' network chick flick while I'm trolling you bastards at day's end.

otherwise, I'm pretty good.
