Islamic State Hackers Threaten Obama Family
The FBI investigates a post on the Newsweek Twitter account, which addresses the First Lady saying "we are watching you".
Hackers supporting the Islamic State have taken control of Newsweek's Twitter feed, posting threats to First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters.
The "CyberCaliphate" claimed responsibility for Tuesday morning's incident cyber-attack, which the FBI is investigating.
The hackers tweeted: "Bloody Valentine's Day #MichelleObama! We're watching you, you girls and your husband! #CyberCaliphate".
The posts, which were erased about 10 minutes later, also showed pictures of purported Pentagon-related documents.
Newsweek-owner International Business Times confirmed the account had been hacked and said it had regained control.
IBT Media said in an emailed statement: "We apologize to our readers for anything offensive that might have been sent from our account."
Newsweek's owner said it would boost its newsroom security measures.
Last month, the hacker group compromised the Twitter account for US Central Command.

I wonder if Obama will still be calling ISIS work place violence if they attack his family.
