Wow! The way the Libs and Cons are throwing rhetoric around these days, it looks like one is eminent. I haven't seen this much finger pointing and cat calling for a while. I don't have a TV or listen to the Snews, so I'm wondering if I should prepare for the usual onslaught of lawn posters. They really are a hazard when peeping in women's bedroom windows around bed time.

Actually, I was referring to all the partisan head banging going on on CC. All the people here who think politics is real, seam to be gearing up for an election. If they all would stand back and read all the political threads about corruption in both parties, they would see that both parties are equally corrupt and that neither are worth voting for, but emotions get in the way of logic, and once again we will get the government we deserve.

Politics is real

gearing up for an election
In a minority government an election can come at anytime

both parties are equally corrupt
There's only one party thats corrupt and it is the one you won't vote for.

emotions get in the way of logic
Logic helps you decide who to vote for. Emotions is a way of convincing other people to vote for your choice.

we will get the government we deserve
And one can only hope they do a better job than the previous did.

The next Canadian general election isn’t ‘due’ until 15 October 2012 (pursuant to An Act to amend the Canadian Elections Act as pushed by Her Majesty’s Government for Canada). However, we all know what our current Government thinks of its fixed election date legislation.

Yeah one thing I've noticed on the CBC news site at least, is that it's almost every single week they decide to give us all an update on the "Neck & Neck" polls between the Conservatives and Liberals..... where one week the Libs and Cons are tied, and the next, the Cons are leading slightly, and then tied again.... then one is slightly higher then the other... then tied again.

Seriously, how about they give it the hell up and not post anything until there's something worthwhile in reading, like say one of the parties leads by a lot?

Being tied or even one party leading by a slim amount on some random poll isn't only a waste of time and space, but nobody wants an election anytime soon unless there's a chance for a majority. Since that appears to be unforeseeable in the next little while, I don't think anybody's going to be up for an election in the first place.

And let's not forget that whoever pulls an election anytime soon will most certainly face a backlash from voters whom are already worn out from the last multiple piles of crap-elections we went through.... there will just be even less voter turnout, since none of the parties even bothered to try and resolve that problem from the last couple of elections (logically one can easily assume it'll be even less in the future) and even more resentment from those who do vote.

Then again, maybe that's what both the Libs and Cons want in the first place.
