Buddhists are not into idol worship, eanassir. They don’t worship idols of God. According to Buddhists, God is too distant an entity, he does not concern himself with day to day life of people.

Buddhists worship Buddha (who was very much a man, though a Prophet according to Buddhists), not God. In a Buddhist pagoda, you will find statues of Buddha, not statues of God.

So Buddhists are not into idol worship in the sense that Hindus are.
Actually, Buddha said he wasn't a prophet. Those fat bald statues in temples are not of Siddhartha Gautama, either.

I'm not the one playing games. Apparently, you've been at some other forum as a troll, according to Pockets, and have now moved here. So you have nothing to say of any interest to me.
BTW when I post "*shrugs*" means I am indifferent to your comments. I hope that satisfies your "????".

My personal opinion: I think he might have been a prophet, but later on his teachings were distorted into a sort of idol worship [like Christians who make statues of Jesus and his mother and kneel to them; in spite of that the First Commandment forbid the erection and adoration of any graven thing or statue or idol.]

If only Muslims could also express freely their personal opinion about Mohammed's status but no, instead, they have to worship an idol like this black stone hidden in the Kaaba.

Such is the idolatry and associating Budda with God

SJP, this is the idolatry and the association with God, coming from the enthusiasm about many religious leaders.

· In fact all idolaters and associaters say they do not worship idols, and that they do worship God their Creator, and that they sanctify their prophets and religious men, and make statues for them: in order that such religious men and prophets may intercede before God for their behalf.

· Another point common among all idolaters and associaters: they say God is the Most High and He is not concerned with their trivial daily life affairs, so they resort to their associates of God: their patrons: like

Budda (Buddists), Jesus and other patron saints (Christians), Simeon Bar Yoḥai and Rachel the wife of Israel (Jews) and Imam Ali and his sons (like what some Muslims do).

And we find this is true even with the worshippers of Satan and the devils: they say: We know God is the Creator, but we worship Satan to be safe of him, while God He is Most Merciful and Most Gracious!

Moreover, those, who worship the cow in India, say: We worship God, but this cow, being without sins, so we worship it in order that it will intercede for us before God.

This is in the Quran 10: 18

The explanation:
(They worship, apart from God, what [can] neither hurt them nor profit them, and they say: "These [idols] are our intercessors with God!"

Say [O Mohammed, to them]: "Will you inform God of that which does not know [anything] in the [ethereal] heavens nor in the [material] earth? Celebrated be His praise, and exalted be He above what [created beings] they associate [with Him!]")

However, God is the All-Knowing; but all people now have to follow the Glorious Quran which is the last heavenly revealed book.
Ah, the Taliban opinion: Islam was once a great power but Allah has turned his face away from us because we're not following his rules, all we have to do is return to the old ways and he will smile upon us again and all will be put right, he will destroy our enemies and exalt us over all people. Fundamentalist Judaism and Christianity make the same claims, the Old Testament prophets made the same claims, and they're all wrong. Europe defeated the Islamic invasion at the gates of Vienna centuries ago, and Allah had nothing to do with it. He wasn't there then, and he's not here now, he's a human invention. Try reading something other than the Quran, you might get some perspective.

If you could stop jerking and see that Mohammed is the servant of God, which is his title; and the black stone is only part of the building of the Ancient House of God at Mecca; and that anyone who asks his needs from this stone, then he has slipped away from God's religion.

This stone was the mark for Abraham where he should build the House of God at Mecca for pilgrimage and God's worshipping, and it might be a meteorite that God sent for Abraham to lead him to the place where the House of God had been built by Adam before.

This is in the Quran 22: 32-34

The explanation:
(That is so – and anyone who honors the rituals of God; surely it comes from [piety and] the guarding of hearts [against the disobedience and wrath of God.]

In them you have benefits for a term appointed, then to be free of the 'Ihram' state will be concluded by the Ancient House [of God.]

We have appointed for every nation [: Jews, Christians and Muslims] a house of worship, that they may mention God's name on the cattle [when they sacrifice them] which He provides them with.

But your God is One God, so submit [yourselves] to Him [and be Muslims],

and [O Mohammed] give the glad tidings [of admission into Paradise] to those who trust [in God alone] with sure faith.)

So what do you follow and what is your religion and doctrine, in summary and clearly.
I follow evidence and seek wisdom.
I don't have a religion. I am agnostic. If there are gods, they don't care what goes on here. I think if there are gods, there is definitely more than one. If there is only one left and it is all=powerful, then it is a vicious, immoral tyrant.
